All about the CookieLoL drama

The popular League of Legends streamer and former player Jakob “Cookie” Fransson has been under heavy fire from the gaming community since a 90-page Google document exposing the streamer’s various unethical behaviors surfaced online.

Prominent Twitch streamer CookieLoL has been accused of several major offenses, including allegedly defrauding viewers and sponsors, making lewd remarks about minors, and posting inappropriate posts on his Discord server. On April 12, past and present members of CookieLoL’s own circle made a 90-page Google document public.

Serious allegations against CookieLoL

The documents claim that Cookie has been inappropriately flirting and conversing with numerous women, including minor girls on Discord. The document also contains multiple screenshots of Discord conversations where CookieLoL can be seen making offensive remarks toward minors. The document also has screenshots of a conversation in which Cookie admits to assaulting a girl he was dating when he was 16 years old.

Then to make matters worse, CookieLoL was observed posting explicit images on his own Discord channel, which his own moderators were forced to remove because those activities were against the terms of his own server’s policies and would result in bans. In addition, the document claims that Cookie misled viewers and sponsors about his financial situation, with even his own staff accusing the streamer of being late with payments.

CookieLoL responds to the allegation

A few hours after the Google doc became public, CookieLoL posted his apology on TwitLonger. As he reflected on his interactions with some of his fans, the streamer admitted “being a creep” and said he would be taking a break from social media.

CookieLoL said that he is deeply sorry for not ensuring that the youngsters he spoke to were at least 18 years old before making sexual comments to them, but he also said that at the time, he did not believe it was improper because the legal age of consent in Sweden is 15. CookieLol was harshly chastised by the community after he responded, and many people urged him to quit using social media and seek professional assistance.

The streamer made the decision to apologize once more and made a commitment to go into more depth about the incident during a future Twitch stream. Although it is debatable whether his version of the events is totally accurate, the backlash is not going to abate any time soon given the severe claims. His explanation also doesn’t address a number of allegations, including those of deceiving sponsors and viewers, leading to more questions than answers.
