A $40K Ally Women’s Open Rocket League tournament revealed

The Ally Women’s Open, a new women’s Rocket League competition, has been announced by Rocket League Esports and financial services provider Ally Financial.

The Ally Women’s Open will take place in March and feature a $40.000 prize pool split equally between Europe and North America; this tournament is part of a broader agreement between the two parties.

About the Ally Women’s Open

Women’s esports organization Raidiant will produce the Ally Women’s Open, which an all-female team will run. Ally is participating in the event for the first time in esports as part of its commitment to split its media spending 50/50 between women’s and men’s esports.

Date of the Ally Women’s Open

On March 26, Rocket League’s Twitch channel will stream the competition, which should increase exposure and viewership.

Drops may activate during broadcasts on the official Rocket League Esports Twitch channel. This means that viewers can receive in-game items for tuning in, which boosts viewership.

About the Partnership

The partnership is part of a broader sponsorship agreement for the Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) that Ally and Rocket League Esports have signed.

The partnership’s goal is for Ally to officially sponsor the North American RLCS. This includes branding on RLCS broadcasts during the winter and spring splits. It also includes participation in league activities related to social media and commercial buys, and broadcast integrations during live broadcasts of the North American RLCS.

The sponsorship also includes actions to help elevate amateur and semi-professional players, known as the “bubble” scene in Rocket League, through a Community Empowerment campaign with Rocket League Esports.

The promotion aims to introduce younger players to scouts to get opportunities in RLCS eventually. A statement announced that soon more information about the Bubble tournaments sponsored would be released.
