Tomorrow, the prestigious fighting game tournament EVO 2022 will celebrate its 20th anniversary by opening its gates to players and visitors in Las Vegas. In addition to competition in nine titles, viewers and visitors can look forward to a number of side events, including PlayStation’s EVO Lounge live show.
The 20th edition of the Evolution Championship Series 2022 is set to take place between August 5-7 at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States.
We have loved the competition through our online events, but nothing beats live, in-person tournaments between players from around the world.
It has been too long since we have experienced the spirit of the FGC in person together.

PlayStation Tournaments: Evo Lounge live show
As a part of the event, PlayStation will feature its own booth streaming a live show that will be dedicated to covering exciting EVO moments and content, along with “peeks into what’s ahead for the FGC”.
The show will be hosted by known FGC players and commentators to keep viewers updated with what’s happening at the event. This will include show coverage, bracket updates, interviews, and reveals from developers and publishers. Arc System Works, Warner Bros. Games, Capcom, SNK, and Bandai Namco Entertainment will be among the developers who will reveal some of their new projects. However, Ed Boon, the creator of the popular series Mortal Combat, has an unsettling message for fans: Mortal Combat 12 won’t be revealed this week.
Moreover, the show will offer exclusive content from the event that won’t be available elsewhere. PlayStation Tournaments: Evo Lounge can be watched live on Plastation’s Twitch and YouTube channels on August 5 and 6.
Let the games begin with PlayStation Tournaments: Evo Lounge live show, featuring the biggest fights, player interviews, developer guests, and more. Runs August 5 & 6.
