With the new Overwatch League season just a few weeks away, several teams have slowly revealed their starting lineups for the 2023 season.

The OWL team Seoul Infernal, which we previously knew as Philadelphia Fusion, has begun unveiling its starting lineup for this 2023 OWL season.

This team, now based in South Korea along with Seoul Dynasty, looks to be playing this season with an all-South Korean lineup, or so we are led to believe by the reveal of names in their lineup.

FIXa returns to Seoul Infernal for OWL 2023

While the team announced the name and base change for the organization, there is no doubt that this team is starting to become familiar to everyone. In December, the team announced that Kim “ZEST” Hyun-woo and Yoon “MN3” Jae-hee would stay with the team for this 2023 OWL season. Meanwhile, last Wednesday, March 1, Seoul Infernal welcomed another of their star rookies, Kwon “FiXa” Yeong-hun.

FIXa is no stranger to this lineup, as let’s remember that the 18-year-old made his OWL debut in the 2022 season with Philadelphia Fusion. While the team could not maintain a consistent performance during the season’s first phase, they turned an unexpected corner in the playoffs and became one of the teams to beat.

There is no doubt that FIXa was one of the key pieces in the playoffs for the Fusion as their main Support. His excellent hero pool allowed the Fusion to play with different compositions in every game.

However, the organization released the player in the offseason, which really shocked the team’s fans due to the outstanding performance of FIXa during the whole season. But, it seems that his name and his performances with the team have prevailed as the Infernal decided to select their new signing.

FIXa’s beginnings

Before being part of the OWL with the Philadelphia Fusion, FIXa was part of the Uprising Academy Contenders. There, the young player showed all his capabilities inside the Overwatch servers. FIXa helped his team in every way to reach the Contenders finals. This caught the attention of the Fusion, who adopted him as their starting Support for 2022.

Right now, the Infernal have four players in their lineup heading into the 2023 OWL season and will slowly continue to announce the rest of the new roster.

Fans of this team, whether Fusion or Infernal, remember that it is the same squad but with a different name and are very attentive to the official networks of the team in the hope that they will know the names of the rest of the members.

For now, Seoul Infernal’s lineup is as follows:

  • Yoon “MN3” Jae-hee
  • Kim “ZEST” Hyun-woo
  • Kwon “FiXa” Yeong-hun
  • Kim “Mag” Tae-sung
