The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 Ti will be launched in a few days. Officially, the product is supposed to hit the market on March 29. It seems like additional information has been revealed by VideoCardz, who claim to have found a conclusive specifications sheet in some marketing material.

VideoCardz leaked details about the MSI GeForce RTX 3090 Ti SUPRIM X graphics processor. This is a custom version of NVIDIA’s upcoming flagship desktop graphics card. NVIDIA teased the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti in January at CES 2022, but strangely enough, the company didn’t release any details about the product after that. But VideoCardz has now obtained some images and specifications of MSI’s card, which apply to all RTX 3090 Ti cards, including NVIDIA’s Founders Edition.

Images within the leak show a version of the RTX 3090 Ti that’s produced by MSI and changed quite a bit. It boasts a thee-fan setup and is REALLY big! With a size of 3.5 PCI slots the graphics card that is based on the GA102 GPU makes it very hard to accommodate in some towers. But 10,752 CUDA cores need space and cooling, so it is not a surprise that Nvidia’s future cards like the Ada Lovelace 4000 series will probably use the same size and fan-configuration.

A true Monster

It doesn’t stop with the massive size. Other interesting specifications include memory, clock speeds and the card’s power consumption, which is pretty hefty. MSI has increased the standard core clock from 1860 MHz to 1950 MHz. Higher clocks also mean higher power, resulting in a TDP 30W higher than Nvidia’s reference card at 480W. This consumption means that they need a new power connector, the 12VHPWR PCIe Gen 5 (12+4-pin) plug, it supports up to 600W and also will be needed for Nvidia’s 4000 series.

With your graphics card sucking up 480 watts you might need a PSU upgrade too, at least 750W and probably an adapter, but it might be included in future shippings, who knows. The GRAM speeds are lightning fast with 24GB at 21 Gbps, the power has to go somewhere too.

Price of $2,000?

The card has 3 DisplayPort 1.4a ports and one HDMI 2.1 port as connectors. With its insane processing power the card can take even 8K at 60Hz and HDR, and of course 4K is no issue at up to 120Hz, ready to welcome the Unreal Engine 5! The HDMI 2.1 port also supports variable frame rates (VRR).There’s no official pricing at the moment, but the RTX 3090 is currently selling for $1,500. So if we use the RTX 3080 Ti as our benchmark, then it could be that the RTX 3090 Ti will cost Users around $2,000. However, this is pure speculation and is not confirmed. We will probably find out how much it will ultimately cost on March 29.
