Yesterday, 00 Nation and 9z made official the exchange between their CS:GO AWPers, a few days after several media reported it as a rumor. Brazilian Lucas “nqz” Soares becomes 00 Nation’s AWPer, while Argentinean Santino “try” Regal returns home, 9z Team.

This exchange benefits both parties

This exchange of AWPers strengthens the respective teams, fulfills Try’s desire to return home, and allows both players to communicate in their native language again.

Try leaving the 9z Team exactly one year ago to wear the colors of 00 Nation. During the 2022 season, the Argentinean was able to excel in the best possible way, averaging a rating of 1.13, according to the web portal HLTV.

On the other hand, nqz only lasted six months with the Argentinean Team. In June 2022, the 9z Team signed nqz to replace Luca “Luken” Nadotti. In the second half of the year, Nqz averaged a 1.19 rating, according to HLTV.

Both players were delighted to be joining their new teams. Nqz stated:

“Happy to announce my new home, looking forward to the new era and even more looking forward to the opportunity to represent this gigantic organization with these spectacular players.”

On the other hand, Try, a little less effusive than nqz, also expressed his gratitude on his social networks:

“I came back home💜”

The arrival of nqz at 00 Nation almost didn’t happen

Just as you read it, this change of AWPers was very close to not happening. However, thanks to nqz’s outstanding performances during the second half of 2022, the player was on the wish list of Fluxo, a Brazilian organization that is slowly gaining air in the CS:GO competitive scene.

Fluxo was in very advanced talks with the 9z Team to transfer nqz for the 2023 season, but 00 Nation entered the game and prevented this from happening. So instead, the Argentinian Team preferred to do an AWPers swap, nqz for Try, and thus regain their beloved Argentinian sniper.

Now, with Try returning home, there is no doubt that he will immediately become the star of the Team, just as he did in his time with the Team from 2020 to the end of 2021.

On the other hand, nqz will have to prove his worth in a team full of very experienced Brazilian players who know what it’s like to win a CS:GO Major, Marcelo “coldzera” David and Epitácio “TACO” de Melo.

Nqz has been proving for some time that he is one of the best CS:GO promises in Brazil, but he has never played side-by-side with the best players in his country.
