After several months of rumors regarding the arrival of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Activision is finally giving some details regarding what we will have next November 10, when the game will be available worldwide on all platforms.

After many rumors regarding one of the most popular game modes in the COD saga, we can say that it’s all a fact, as Activision has confirmed that Zombies mode is coming back in Modern Warfare 3.

This is great news for fans of the saga and, above all, lovers of this COD game mode. Besides serving to level up weapons and unlock some exclusive camos, Zombies mode keeps us in suspense at every step we take.

Activision confirms the return of Zombies mode in Modern Warfare 3

In a post on its Twitter account and, of course, on its official blog, Activision confirmed the return of Zombies mode in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

All the rumors regarding the return of Zombies mode in MW3 began several months ago, and leakers point out that Treyarch will develop it. Let’s remember that they were in charge of founding the first Zombies mode in 2008 in CoD: World at War.

Since then, the Zombies mode has appeared in different saga titles, the most recent being in CoD: Vanguard. However, now it will also be possible to play Outbreak mode, an open-world Zombies mode we first played in CoD: Black Ops Cold Ward.

Zombies mode returns in MW3

Now, through the “Unknown Caller” phone number of the game developers, Activision, it was confirmed that Zombies mode is returning in MW3. If players type “Zombies” and send it to the “Unknown Caller,” they will receive a sound file via SMS.

When that text message is sent, the developer company will reply with a .wav format sound file, in which you will hear the unmistakable sounds of the Zombies in CoD.

On the other hand, there is still no confirmation as to who is developing the Zombies mode for MW3. However, it is most likely that Treyarch is fully involved since this studio is listed as one of the collaborators in developing Modern Warfare 3.
