ZETA DIVISION, one of the most popular teams in the VCT Pacific League scene, could make a clean slate for the upcoming VCT season.

According to different reports in the last few hours, the Japanese organization put its entire VALORANT lineup up for sale, aiming to start restructuring its roster.

These moves may be expected in the VALORANT community since ZETA DIVISION could not succeed in the international tournaments they played in 2023. Remember that the team could not perform at its best, neither at the VCT LOCK//IN Sao Paulo nor at the Masters Tokyo 2023. Finally, they got a place in the VCT Champions 2023 but could not win a single match.

ZETA DIVISION would sell all its players to start a restructuring process

According to different reports on social networks in the last few hours, ZETA DIVISION will be selling its VALORANT lineup to form a new squad for 2024. This information comes to light thanks to some Dexerto and Blix.gg sources.

Similarly, the Japanese organization hinted several weeks ago that this could happen, as they publicly announced that they were opening applications for tryouts to players who wanted to be part of the team’s lineup for next season.

Similarly, this does not mean we will not see any current players in the team’s lineup next season. According to reports, ZETA DIVISION intends to keep some of these players in the lineup for the upcoming season. However, the entire lineup will most likely get cut from the organization.

About ZETA DIVISION

It’s no secret to anyone that this ZETA DIVISION lineup in 2023 was scary and very scary. The squad has (for now) some of Japan’s best VALORANT talents and superstars like Koji “Laz” Ushida (IGL), the region’s best player. Likewise, they also have Shota “SugarZ3ro” Watanabe, who, at only 20 years old, has demonstrated all his skills and qualities as a Controller at the highest competitive level.

However, the team had a disappointing 2023 season. They were taken out of the VCT LOCK//IN Sao Paulo in the first round by Leviatan. Then, they had some problems in the VCT Pacific League, which made them finish in 4th place in the regular season. Finally, the team went through the LCQ and beat Team Secret to take the last Pacific ticket to the VALORANT Champions 2023.

In the last tournament of the season, the VCT Champions 2023, the team could not show their best level of play and fell to Fnatic and NRG Esports to say goodbye to the tournament without winning a single map. As a result, there is no doubt that the year was disappointing for this team, so it is more than likely that changes in the lineup are coming for 2024.
