Yazied “YapzOr” Jaradat used to be known as one of the best position-four players in Dota 2. The five years he spent competing for Team Secret between 2017 and 2022 are absolutely glorious, and it is hard to think of anyone who could have done a better job.

YapzOr became known for his prowess on heroes like Rubick and Earthshaker, but also for his greedy playstyle. He was benched by Secret in July 2022 at his own request and now he’s giving us signs that he might be coming back or at least, that he might compete again in a serious tournament.

About YapzOr’s announcement

YapzOr was recently asked on Janne “Gorgc” Stefanovski’s stream about the possibility of coming back. His fan base is quite big thanks to his past results and people want to know when they’ll be able to see him at a LAN again.

His response was not exactly confident but he did tell viewers that he might be competing in the Saudi qualifier for the 2023 Riyadh Masters.

YapzOr’s complete comeback will likely happen at the start of 2024. If Team Secret manage to get promoted to Division I and want to change their position-four player ahead of Tour 3, he might be back earlier. But it all depends on his health and for the time being, he doesn’t seem to be enthusiastic about it.

YapzOr’s career

YapzOr started playing Dota 2 in 2012 and he even played DotA when he was younger. His first serious team was BalkanBears, where he spent around nine months. After that, he joined Monkey Freedom Fighters but didn’t stay there for long.

He then went from small team to small team, always spending a short amount of time before moving again. But after a series of solid performances for No Diggity, Escape Gaming, and B)ears, Team Secret became interested in signing him.

As usual, Clement “Puppey” Ivanov was the man who saw YapzOr’s potential and he gave him a contract. For the Jordanian player, this was a huge step forward. At just 23, he was living his esports dream. It took a long time to get noticed by the right organization but it was totally worth it.

After joining Team Secret, YapzOr won a lot of tournaments and got top results in others. His career highlights include:

  • Fifth-sixth at The International 2018
  • Second at The Kuala Lumpur Major
  • First at The Chongquing Major
  • First at MDL Disneyland Paris Major
  • Fourth at The International 2019
  • Third at The International 2021
