Fortnite and the National Football League create the NFL Zone metaverse creative map. This creative map aims to offer players an authentic, immersive game-day experience.

The National Football League (NFL) and Fortnite have teamed up again. The NFL is entering Fortnite’s “Metaverse” instead of wearing in-game attire. Players on the new NFL Zone Fortnite Creative map can experience a social hub with a virtual portico, stadium, and team-based maps.

The Big Game in the NFL Zone

NFL Zone has received a massive update ahead of today’s Big Game as the Philadelphia Eagles take on the Kansas City Chiefs. You can now enjoy the updated experience where you can see the Big Game scenario and a variety of Eagles and Chiefs logos throughout the stadium.

Fortnite NFL Zone

All Fortnite players can scroll to the NFL Zone creative map using the code 3402-0256-6913. After entering the code, users will travel to The Hub, where the NFL action begins. From there, you can play mini-games, enter the stadium, and tailgate.

“Seek and sack,” a variation on the familiar seek-and-sack game format, is one of the mini-games. In addition, there is “Blitz the Bag,” a catch-the-flag game.

The San Francisco 49ers are the first to receive attention on the team-inspired map. You can navigate directly to the initial team-inspired map using map code 6133-5764-5986. The Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Giants are the next two teams on the list, followed by many others.

Comments on the collaboration

Epic Games vice president of metaverse development, Matthew Henick, commented:

“Participating content creators will have their wins tracked on a giant scoreboard in NFL Zone, with the division earning the most total points crowned champion after a final AFC vs. NFC playoff. Participants will also have an opportunity to compete alongside their favorite content creators, who will be assigned divisions to keep the competitive spirit alive.”

Beyond the creative process, NFL players and content creators will use social media for advertising Fortnite NFL Zone. According to the press release, the league’s NFC and AFC rivalries will feature prominently in the team-inspired maps.

On the other hand, NFL vice president of video games Ed Kiang commented:

“Fortnite has become one of the go-to destinations for audiences seeking immersive, social experiences, and we see a massive opportunity to bring NFL football to a new generation of fans with NFL Zone. Through developing a robust catalog of content with top gaming personalities and pairing it with a persistent presence in the metaverse, we’ll be able to grow generational fandom off the field and enhance the connection audiences have with NFL football.”
