Will Warzone Season 4 see return of Original Gulag?

Undoubtedly, all Warzone 2 players have always been asking Activision and Infinity Ward to bring back some of the features that captivated them from the original Warzone. However, the developers have often ignored this, bringing completely new content to attract as many players as possible.

Likewise, remember that one of the best Gulag we have seen in this Battle Royale was the original. The fights in the recreation of the bathrooms of the popular Alcatraz prison were intense, and there is no doubt that many of us enjoyed every second of it, even though we were gambling our second chance in the game.

In Warzone Season 4 Reloaded, which will be released in the next few hours, we will have the “return” of this original Gulag, but with some modifications.

Activision does not get it right with the Gulag in Warzone so far

For all Warzone lovers, the Gulag mechanic is phenomenal. It’s a second chance to get back into the action and help your teammates. However, since the release of Warzone 2, Activision hasn’t gotten it right about the Gulag. Many acclaims that the maps are not “good.”. While it has added mechanics such as 2v2 Gulag instead of the customary 1v1 that all have undoubtedly rejected.

The fact was not that 2v2 was a bad design but that the mechanics of this Gulag was that your life depended on random players. As a result, Activision and Infinity Ward listened to the community and returned to the 1v1 Gulag, as it has always been within the game. However, the developers still haven’t hit the nail on the head regarding the map used in the Gulag.

Now, for this Season 4 Reloaded, it seems we will have a sort of Gulag that resembles, and very much so, the original Gulag.

Return of the “original Gulag” in Warzone Season 4 Reloaded

Last July 10, Activision published the roadmap of the next Reloaded update, which will arrive mid-season next July 12.

There is no doubt that this new content is mainly focused on the collaboration with “The Boys,” as we will have three new operators in the game. However, we will also have the much-requested addition of Vondel to Battle Royale and much more.

Similarly, in the next update, we will have a new Gulag dedicated exclusively to Vondel games in Battle Royale. Moreover, this Gulag is designed completely inspired by the first Gulag we played in the original Warzone.

In the official Call of Duty Blog post, the developers mention that the “new Gulag” will be “very familiar” to many players. On the other hand, they also mentioned that the Alcatraz showers inspired the creators of Vondel and the new Gulag.

On the other hand, it is also detailed that it will be a traditional Gulag with three lanes. And, finally, of course, it is for 1v1 combat.

Only a few hours are left to enjoy the new Gulag in Warzone 2 Season 4 Reloaded. But there is no doubt that many of us will remember the past in our fights back in 2020/21.
