If you’ve been an esports lover for many years, you probably think of excellent times when you hear mention of the SK Gaming organization.

While this organization’s greatest successes have been in Counter-Strike, they have always stood out for presenting very competitive lineups in the rest of esports.

In the last few hours, the German organization has officially announced a new lineup for the 2023 season of the LEC, which they only maintain from the 2022 roster, the Mid Laner, Sertuss.

Not a good year for SK Gaming

This 2022 was not good at all for this legendary organization. They finished in eighth place in the LEC Spring and Summer Split with an abysmal 7-11 record.

That is why no one was surprised that the team management wanted to make drastic changes for the 2023 season.

Armored lineup

As if that wasn’t enough, SK Gaming has added two incredibly talented players to their ranks, Exakick and Doss.

This pair of players make the long-awaited jump to the LEC after winning a Back-to-Back in last season’s Splits with LDLC OL in the French League of Legends national league.

In addition, Exakick and Doss were the architects of the good tournament their former team played in the European Masters 2022, where they finished 5-1 in the group stage but lost to Team Heretics in the semifinals by 3-1.

On the other hand, we have Irrelevant, a German player of only 21 years of age who comes from Misfits Gaming. This player has promoted from the organization’s academy to the team’s main squad in the Summer Split thanks to his excellent talent.

There is nothing to fault for this player who, in his first experience in the top-level LoL competitive scene, managed to help his team finish fourth in the LEC with a 10-8 record before Fnatic crushed them in the playoffs.

Finally, the fifth and no less critical player is former Excel Jungler, Markoon. Like Irrelevant, he helped his team advance to the LEC 2022 playoffs after a regular season with a 9-9 record. Finally, they also lost to Fnatic in a hard-fought series with a final score of 3-2.

The lineup with less LEC experience

According to several reports posted on Twitter, specifically from ExpressLOL, this new SK Gaming lineup has only played 135 games in the LEC. This makes them the least experienced organization in the LEC.

This new SK Gaming lineup will debut in the LEC when Winter Split action begins on January 21, 2023.
