Incredible CS 1.6 mod allows you to play Rocket League

Indeed, Counter-Strike 1.6 is practically in oblivion or simply in the hearts of all of us who are old school and spend hours and hours in this wonderful shooter. However, the creativity of many in the community knows no bounds, as, in the last few hours, a Rocket League content creator found a server with an incredible CS 1.6 mod that allows him to play Rocket League.

Valve, in its eagerness to allow the community to show all their creativity in their games, allows map or mod creators to share all their creations. Recall that the KZ, Bhop, or surf servers, which we now see in CS:GO, we also had in Counter-Strike 1.6, but this is not a facet for which the game was known at its best.

Today, there are still thousands of servers active throughout the CS 1.6 world that allow players to have fun in mods like KZ, surf, or Bhop. In addition, we also have mods like Jailbreak, Capture the Flag, and one that was very popular at the time, a Zombies mod. As a result, those old-schoolers who want to have fun in their beloved CS 1.6 will have plenty of options. However, a Rocket League mod is something incredible and completely unexpected.

A mod allows players to play Rocket League in CS 1.6

As we mentioned, we commonly have different mods in both CS 1.6 and CS:GO, as it is a fun way to enjoy these games without playing the competitive or casual mode. However, a Rocket League game mode is something that, without a doubt, we would never have thought about, let alone imagined, before watching the following video. Also, it’s worth mentioning that while it doesn’t have the graphics of the original Rocket League, the mod is extremely similar.

On the other hand, we can note that this mod is not new, no more and no less, as it seems to be on the CS 1.6 servers since 2020. However, until now, it had not become so popular, and, as we see in the video, it is an almost perfect recreation of the original game.

Johanzilla’s reaction

Thanks to Rocket League content creator Johanzilla, we now know that we can play Rocket League on CS 1.6 servers. In the video, we can see that Johanzilla is looking for a server to join and enjoy a game of the iconic 1.6, but he was intrigued when he read a server name with “Rocket League,” and, no doubt, he had to check it out.

Like on any Counter-Strike server with different mods, whatever they are, many files were downloaded before entering the game. Then, Johanzilla was stunned when he saw that this mod worked perfectly like the original game.

Then, Johanzilla asked the players why they played this mod if Rocket League is a completely free game. However, several of them answered that their PC was “shit.”

Finally, we can say that this mod lacks a lot to be exactly like the original game, as it lacks several mechanics and, of course, graphics. However, there is no doubt that we can play Rocket League on Counter-Strike 1.6.
