After being out for several weeks due to injury, Russian esports organization Virtus.pro announced the return of David “n0rb3r7” Danielyan to their CS:GO lineup. In addition, they also announced that Alexey “Qikert” Golubev, who was playing as a substitute for the team, will now move to the bench.

As we know, n0rb3r7 was off the servers since June 2023, when he missed different online Tier 2 events and, most importantly, Gamers8 2023 and FiReLEAGUE Battle. However, now that it is back, VP aims to return to being that dominant force in the CS:GO scene that they were at the end of 2022 when they won the IEM Rio Major.

Virtus.pro announces the return of n0rb3r7 to their CS:GO lineup

Through a post on their Twitter account and official blog, Virtus.pro announced the return of n0rb3r7 to the team’s starting CS:GO lineup.

As we mentioned, n0rb3r7 will replace Qikert, who is now on the VP bench. In addition, we should also remember that in July, VP signed Nikolay “mir” Bityukov to take a permanent spot in the CS:GO starting lineup in place of Qikert. However, n0rb3r7’s injury forced the team to play with mir and Qikert until now.

Virtus.pro needs to get back to the best possible level

As we all in the community know, VP urgently needs to get back to that exceptional level of play that led them to win the IEM Rio Major 2022 when they played under the Outsiders banner.

This season, VP has been far away from that level of play mentioned above, as they have not performed well in the Tier 1 tournaments they have participated in. Also, it is worth mentioning that they did not qualify for the Paris Major, the last one in the CS:GO era, as they could not qualify through the RMRs in Europe.

So far this season, the team has made some changes to their roster, trying to regain that level of play. First, we noted the momentary signing of Aleksandr “KaiR0N-” Anashkin, which lasted very little in the team. Finally, they had to play with Qiker and mir in the most recent tournaments.

According to Nikolai Petrossian, VP’s CEO, the team now has a lineup to work with for the long term. However, he also mentions that they had to make drastic decisions regarding the CS: GO squad after the BLAST Premier World Finals 2022. However, the plans did not go as they thought, and they had to play with a substitute player for several months.

Finally, Petrossian said that the organization is very appreciative of Qikert for all the effort he gave during this time. However, he mentioned that while the Kazakh rifler has a long-term contract with the team, they are open to hearing offers for him now that he is on the bench.
