Astralis Fe, the women’s CS:GO team of the popular Danish esports organization, announced that four players are free to explore their options. In addition, the organization also announced that Aurora “aurora” Lyngdal is the only player in the team’s lineup, so the squad rebuilding will be around her.

There is no doubt that this is a somewhat expected move, considering that the team failed to qualify for the ESL Impact League S3 Finals. So now, the organization intends to rebuild a new squad around the team’s best player, aurora.

Astralis announces the release of four of its players from Astralis Fe

Through a statement on their official Twitter account, Astralis announced that four players are leaving the team’s lineup immediately. In addition, they also announced that aurora would be the only player to stay with the team and that the squad rebuilding would be around her.

Now, the four players leaving Astralis Fe are as follows:

  • Héjja “kezziwow” Kászandrá
  • Selin “spike” Sinem Alak
  • Yoana “Joanana” Vlaykova
  • Luna “ManeschijnX” Akkermans

ManeschijnX was on the team for only two months, as the organization decided to sign her at that time. While spike, Joanana, and kezziwow have been in the Astralis Fe lineup since its inception in late 2022.

While it is true that Astralis has an incredibly big name within the competitive CS: GO scene, the women’s team, Astralis Fe, was unable to succeed in these early stages of the season. Additionally, the team crashed out of ESL Impact Katowice earlier in the year, and, more recently, they finished in fifth place in Group A of the ESL Impact League Season 3: European Division, with a terrible 1-4 record.

Astralis Fe saw the light at the end of the tunnel

While the team could not perform well so far in 2023, there is no doubt that the team faced tough opponents who are well-established in the women’s CS:GO scene.

However, Astralis Fe pulled off a spectacular 2-1 victory over MVP (currently Spirit Female), the girls’ only top-level performance in the recent ESL Impact League S3.

Now, Astralis Fe is set to look for four players who can give a new direction to this female project in the CS:GO scene. In addition, this move comes on the eve of the ESL Impact League S3 Finals, which will be played from June 2-4 in Dallas, USA.

Aurora and the roster that should be announced in the coming days will have to leave their skin in each upcoming ESL Impact League S4 match. While the exact schedule of this women’s circuit has not yet been revealed, the finals of season 4 will be held in Valencia, the beautiful Spanish city with a lot of history in esports in recent years.
