European organizations Virtus.pro and Natus Vincere have announced their Dota 2 rosters for the 2022/2023 DPC season.

The Russian organization Virtus.pro has unveiled its revamped Dota 2 roster for the upcoming DPC season. The move came after Virtus failed to qualify for The International 2022 (TI11) despite having an impressive competitive season. The team parted ways with Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarevd, Daniyal “yamich” Lazebnyy, and Egor “Xakoda” Lipartiya at the beginning of the off-season as a result of its successful season, indicating that a major revamp is about to come. The organization is starting over with a clean slate, so the final two players, Danil “gpk” Skutin & Dmitry “DM” Dorokhin, have been placed on the inactive list.

Despite facing a challenging competitive year, Virtus.pro were able to secure a spot in the Last Chance Qualifier. However, the team failed to qualify for TI11 after heartbreaking defeats against Team Secret & Team Liquid in the playoffs of the Last Chance Qualifiers.

Since Virtus.pro is one of the most dominant organizations in Dota 2, it found it unacceptable that the team’s performance declined in the recent season which ended with missing TI11. However, starting fresh with a roster made up of young and talented players as well as experienced players from the previous DPC season may be able to help the organization regain its former glory.

Virtus.Pro’s Dota 2 roster for 2022/2023 Dota Pro Circuit:

  • Kamil “Koma`” Biktimirov
  • Ilya “squad1x” Kuvaldin
  • Evgeniy “Noticed” Ignatenko
  • Oleg “sayuw” Kalenbet
  • Andrey “Dukalis” Kuropatkin
  • Timur “Ahilles” Kulmuhambetov (head coach)

NAVI completes Dota 2 roster

The Ukrainian organization NAVI has acquired two new players to fill in the void left by Alexey “Solo” Berezin and  Volodymyr “Noone” Minenko. NAVI has added former Project Armour member Nikita “Nicky`Cool” Ostakhov, who is currently ranked in the top 60 in the European Dota 2 leaderboards. On the other hand, the Ukrainian organization’s second signing, Arman “Malady” Orazbayev, helped Hellraisers win the second division of the Eastern European DPC.

At first glance, it appears to be a questionable move to replace Solo and Noone with two inexperienced players given the degree of experience they brought to NAVI. While Solo and Noone’s season-long status is still unknown, the new NAVI appears poised to make its competitive Dota 2 debut in the first division when DPC 2022/23 season begins in January.

NAVI’s Dota 2 roster for 2022/2023 Dota Pro Circuit

  • Nikita “Nicky`Cool” Ostakhov
  • Vladyslav “laise” Lais
  • Georgii “swedentstrong” Zainalabidov
  • Arman “Malady” Orazbayev
