Velocity Gaming announced the departure of three members from its VALORANT lineup after the team had disappointing results in the VCL 2023: South Asia Split 2.
While the team had a roster with three international players that undoubtedly placed them as tournament favorites, the team failed to make it out of the group stage. As a result, the organization has decided to let go of these three international stars.
Velocity Gaming parted ways with three members of the lineup
After a disappointing start to the season, Velocity Gaming announced the departure of David “Dav” Miljanić, Adam “ec1s” Eccles, and Domagoj “Doma” Fancev, who were two players and the team’s coach.

As we see in the official statement from the organization, Velocity Gaming thanks and wishes good luck in the future to Doma, Dav, and ec1s.
Doma (Croatia) and ec1s (UK) were the players who took all the spotlight in the VCL2023: South Asia Split 2, as they are well-known players in the VALORANT scene. However, the team’s results did not meet the expectations raised and have now been released.
On the other hand, Dav, the Head Coach of the team, was with the team since September 2022 and was let go due to the clean slate the organization is having for the rest of the season. So, for now, Velocity Gaming has not decided to shed any of its Indian players, but there is no doubt that their futures with the team are not secure.
Ec1s thanks India on his farewell
British player ec1s thanked India, his teammates, and the Velocity Gaming staff for giving him a “unique experience” as a professional at VALORANT.
Thank you India. 🇮🇳
for a truly once in a lifetime experience. I’ve made memories i’ll never forget. thanks to the players for the trust and hard work daily, i’ve never seen a team put in more hours. thank you the VLT nation, all the staff and CC’s for welcoming us to the family pic.twitter.com/2yYHRcVGnm— ec1s (@ec1s_) May 20, 2023
On his Twitter account, ec1s said he thanked his teammates for their trust and, above all, for working hard day in and day out. He also thanked everyone in the organization for making him feel at home and ended with a few words of satisfaction for the atmosphere of the fans, which, according to ec1s, he had never seen in esports.
Then, he talked about his future, which he mentioned that, so far, is uncertain. However, the player likely wants to return to Europe to compete in the Challenger leagues in the region.
On the other hand, Dav also took a moment to thank Velocity Gaming and its owner, Manoj “SENTINEL” Kasyap, for giving him a chance in this project and, above all, for believing in him.
Thanks to @VltSentinel for believing and providing everything for us, unfortunately we couldn't get results that we wanted,
but we gave our hearts and hardwork for VLT.
Thanks to the players for working hard as we did everything needed to be prepared, i'm very sad and mad cuz..— Dav1 VLT (@dav1csgo) May 19, 2023
Doma, for his part, did not make any official statement after his departure from the team was announced. While SENTINEL clarified that the team’s future will be decided soon, and everything will be informed in due course.
Lot of talk about VLT shutting down , here is a small informative tweet . VLT is too big to shutdown over night with investments in VALORANT , NEW STATE, CC section , Role-play and not but not the least you the FANS. Its not a button that can be turned off.
