Gentle Mates, the French Valorant team, has officially extended and promoted all its players from the VCL, the French Valorant league, to the VCT EMEA, the regional elite league. The organization will arrive with a 100% French five who won everything last year in France. The entire coaching staff has also been retained.

The founders of M8, Lucas “Squeezie” Hauchard, Corentin “Gotaga” Houssein, and Kevin “Brawks” Georges, announced that no changes would be made to the VCT EMEA roster. The structure had earned its ticket to the regional elite of Valorant by defeating Apeks in the VCT Ascension EMEA, after winning both segments of the year in the VCL, the French championship.

Beyazıt “beyAz” Körpe, Logan “logaN” Corti, Nathan “nataNk” Bocqueho, Jonhatant “TaKaS” Paupard, and Wailers “Wailers” Locart will continue their careers for a second consecutive year together, and one step up. Kévin “Ex6tenZ” Droolans and Kévin “madcoach” Ducourtioux will also be part of the team, accompanied by Azox, recruited as a manager.

Gentle Mates will be among the outsiders of the VCT. While their domination in France was undisputed, the competition now promises to be much tougher against heavyweights such as Fnatic or Team Liquid. However, Valorant is still a relatively new game in esports, and practically all rosters undergo significant changes. In a league in full swing and for a game in full development, a team that relies on consistency can make a difference. It is unlikely that M8 will reach the podium, but the structure has the cards in hand to shake things up in the playoffs.
