While it is true that all the focus in the community and the VALORANT scene, in general, is on the Tokyo Masters, other teams are making some moves for the rest of the season.

MIBR, a team of the VCT Americas League that did not have a good tournament, announced that André “Txozin” Saidel would be in the team’s lineup permanently. This news, without a doubt, comes after Txozin’s excellent performance against 100T in the last game of the season, where he was the main pillar of MIBR’s 2-1 victory.

Moreover, this is also excellent news for the player, who will have the chance to prove himself in the LCQ for the VALORANT Champions.

MIBR announces that Txozin stays permanently in the team’s lineup

Through an announcement on its official Twitter account, MIBR confirmed that Txozin would remain permanently in MIBR’s starting lineup heading into the LCQ.

As mentioned, this move comes on the heels of Txozin’s outstanding performance in the last game of the regular season. In this game, MIBR had absolutely nothing at stake, as they had no options to qualify for the playoffs. However, Txozin was very inspired and helped the team win against 100T, which eliminated the North American team, besides giving them the third tournament victory.

About Txozin

Txozin entered the MIBR lineup in week 7 of the VCT Americas League regular season, replacing Olavo “heat” Marcelo. At the time, heat claimed he had to step away from the team’s lineup for “personal reasons.”

While it is true that Txozin was several months away from the competitive scene, as he was listed as the sixth player of the team and the organization did not plan to make changes until then, he managed to show a great level of play in the game against 100 Thieves.

As a result of this great performance of the player, MIBR decided to award him a permanent place in the team’s starting lineup in the LCQ (Last Chance Qualifier) for the VALORANT Champions 2023.

Heat stays on the MIBR bench

Now, for all those wondering what will happen with heat, in the announcement video, we can notice that Matheus “bzkA” Tarasconi, the team’s Head Coach, points out that heat will remain on the bench in the LCQ. However, bzkA did not explain the reasons for this decision and if there will be a change shortly.

Heat did not perform consistently throughout the VCT Americas League, despite showing some flashes of confidence and good play in some games. Now, the team does not have a defined duelist for the LCQ, which makes us assume that João “jzz” Pedro will be the one to fill this role from now on.

Now, after the news that Txozin is staying permanently in the team’s main lineup, MIBR’s squad for the LCQ is as follows:

  • Murillo “murizzz” Tuchtenhagen
  • André “TxoziN” Saidel
  • Leandro “frz” Gomes
  • João “jzz” Pedro
  • Matheus “RgLMeister” Rodigoli
  • Olavo “heat” Marcelo – Substitute
  • Matheus “bzkA” Tarasconi – Head Coach
