Twitch changed its rules regarding “artistic nudity” yesterday so that female streamers in particular are not constantly banned. However, this new rule has opened the gates for all kinds of inappropriate content. So there is chaos in the world of Twitch – but that was to be expected.

In an update yesterday, Twitch made a lot of changes that surprised the community. Things that were previously forbidden are now allowed on Twitch, especially sexual content.

Creepy content streamed on Twitch

While not much has changed for bikini and pool streamers (except that they are now officially allowed to twerk, among other things), artistic content that contains “fictional (drawn, animated or sculpted) nudity” can now also be streamed. And it was precisely this content that was streamed en masse yesterday. So we’re talking about people who have drawn anime characters, for example, who have taken very explicit, sexual poses and whose drawings are supposed to be extremely young, female characters…childlike characters. Creepy content that clearly goes in a direction that people who would probably secretly watch children in a playground would watch. Fans of the Playground have discovered Twitch as a new portal for themselves.

In short, anyone who casually watched Twitch at work yesterday probably got red ears and quickly closed the tab again so that the boss wouldn’t notice. Because yesterday, the gates opened wide for all kinds of inappropriate content and nobody can say anything against it, because the new rules allow it.

Both viewers and streamers themselves were shocked. Many fans can’t believe that Twitch is standing by these changes, especially after the many discussions that have taken place between the mod team and streamers. One wonders why there was such a crackdown on gambling content, but at the same time the doors have now been opened so wide with regard to “artistic nudity” and sexual content.

Will Twitch change its rules again?

The question is where the line is drawn here, what is appropriate and what is not? While Twitch has long been known for its scantily clad e-girl streamers, among other things, one can only hope that it won’t soon be a permanent place for inappropriate content for playground fans.

Nevertheless, the rule is that even such streams must be labeled and use a tag that the stream contains sexual content.

However, many streamers did not do this and therefore a lot of people were banned yesterday.

It may well be that Twitch will adjust its rules a little in the coming days, because it looks like they overstepped their mark and there was a lot of criticism from the community, as many people found the new content “disturbing” and not appropriate for Twitch. Streamers are also still confused about the new rules. While drawn nipples are okay, human underboobs are still banned.
