LPL’s Top Esports and JD Gaming aim to dethrone LCK in 2023

After an almost absolute dominance of the LCK in the last editions of the Worlds, Top Esports and JD Gaming have been strengthened for the 2023 season. As a result, they will undoubtedly be two of the top contenders to overcome the South Korean teams in international events.

About LPL

The LPL is one of the most demanding and complicated competitions in League of Legends, both for the format of the splits and for the level, player names, and the number of matches you must win to become champion.

It is no secret that the LPL has been the main LoL league in the history of Esports. That is why, with 17 teams contending for the championship title, the domestic league has the most top-level participants worldwide, confirming that being the LPL champion is not easy.

Top teams in LPL

For several years four teams have stood out above the rest, concerning Royal Never Give Up or EDward Gaming, the most successful teams in the region and dominated the last months of 2022 in the LPL.

These two teams are joined by Top Esports, champion of the LPL Summer Split, and JD Gaming, winner of the playoffs of this same Split, which are two teams that, since 2019, have participated in 3 LPL finals.

JD Gaming is the only team in the region that managed to finish in the TOP 4 of the last Worlds 2022, and although Top Esports had a disappointing group stage, both aspire to dethrone the LCK in 2023.

JD Gaming has assembled a genuinely super team for the 2023 LPL season and even more so after stealing the star midlaner from Top Esports, while they have strengthened with one of the best ADCs in the history of the game.

JD Gaming has signed knight, midlaner of Top Esports, Ruler, former ADC of Gen.G, and one of the best of all time, who will play alongside the renewed Kanavi, 369, and Missing, forming the best roster of the entire LPL.

About Top Esports

On the other hand, we have Top Esports, which has not lagged in signings. First, they renewed Tian, JackeyLove, and have managed to keep Mark, Wayward, and Zhuo and bring in a star, Rookie.

Rookie is considered one of the best of all time by LoL experts, and from his team, Victory Five, to the ambition and power of Top Esports, he is one of the best lineups in the LPL.

As in every season, we do not doubt that there will be teams that will be revelations in this 2023 LPL season. As well as the already consolidated RNG, Invictus Gaming, or EDward Gaming, but without a doubt, Top Esports and JD Gaming will be the super teams capable of everything in 2023.
