Last weekend, we enjoyed the RLCS San Diego Major, where Karmine Corp managed to lift the champion’s trophy. While it is true that, since the introduction of the Majors in the Rocket League competitive scene, no team has won twice, we now have a player who has Axel “Vatira” Touret.
RLCS continues to grow steadily and exponentially over the years and is now one of the most popular esports in the world. In addition, the competitive level in each season increases so that, as we mentioned, no team has managed to win a Major in two different opportunities.
KCorp joins the exclusive list of teams that have won a Major made up of:
- Gen.G
- Moist Esports
- Team BDS
- G2 Esports
Vatira becomes the first player to win two RLCS Majors
After Karmine Corp’s spectacular 4-2 victory over FaZe Clan to become RLCS San Diego Major champions, KCorp player Vatira becomes the first player in history to win two Majors. In addition, Vatira also joins a list that now stands at five players who have won a LAN tournament twice.

Vatira won his first Major in the RLCS in the 2021/22 season, specifically the Winter Split Major held in London under the Moist Esports banner. Now, with the victory of his current team KCorp in the Winter Major, he has increased his tally to two Major wins.
As mentioned, besides being the only player with two Majors in his cabinet, he joins the following players with two wins or more in RLCS tournaments on LAN.
- Alexandre “Kaydop” Courant
- Pierre “Turbopolsa” Silfver
- Jos “ViolentPanda” van Meurs
- Evan “M0nkey M00n” Rogez
- Alex “Extra” Paoli
Another record for Vatira
As if that wasn’t enough, in addition to the two awards mentioned above, Vatira also managed to take home the tournament MVP award. This marks the fourth time in his career that the player has won this award, another record for the player.

Vatira has won all the individual and group awards in the RLCS and, thanks to this, is writing yet another page in the history books of the Rocket League competitive scene. Moreover, the fact that he has implemented these records in LAN events is much more eye-catching and important, as we all know how complicated these types of tournaments can be for many players.
Now, the player can boast much more than he has done so far. As a result of these records, Vatira will be able to proclaim himself as the best player in the world with facts and awards won.
