Valve has revealed the much-awaited Anubis Skin collection for CS:GO, featuring 19 Egyptian theme-based exciting weapons finishes created by the community members.

The collection features 19 weapon finishes designed by community members for various weapons, each of which has a theme inspired by the Ancient Egyptian map Anubis, which returned to CS: GO in August. Valve has introduced a brand-new kind of container that the community has never seen before for the Anubis Skin collection.

The Anubis Collection Bundle can be purchased from the CS:GO main menu for just $1.99, although individual skins vary in price depending on their rarity and wear. Similar to weapon cases, souvenir packages, and sticker capsules, the container can be traded on the Steam Community Market. Also, the cost of the skins varies according to shifts in the balance between supply and demand in the CS:GO market.

Even though it hasn’t been officially announced, it’s highly likely that during the forthcoming BLAST.tv Paris Major, players will be able to redeem Event Coin challenges from the Viewer’s Pass for the Anubis Collection. While the Anubis skin collection seems fascinating but isn’t the only inclusion in these patch notes.

In a cryptic statement stating that the spring celebrations in Ember are about to come to an end, Valve also made a hint regarding upcoming graphic adjustments. The mysterious message might be a clue to the return of Danger Zone, which Valve first debuted in 2018 to drum up interest in the Battle Royale subgenre. The CS:GO Danger zone will have more underground lava, making it riskier for players to hide there, according to the official patch notes.

Here is the complete list of skins included in the Anubis weapon collection:

  • P250 | Apep’s Curse
  • M4A4 | Eye of Horus
  • R8 Revolver | Inlay
  • MP7 | Sunbaked
  • SSG 08 | Asure Glyph

Will the Anubis Skin Collection make any difference in the popularity of CS:GO?

With the announcement of CS2, Valve’s FPS game has broken multiple records for player numbers, and it is expected that this trend will continue after the Anubis Collection is made available. The decade-old game finally hit the illustrious milestone of 1.5 million concurrent players on March 26 after continually breaking records and reaching new player peaks over the years.

The Anubis Collection’s release is also expected to fuel anticipation for the game right before the Blast.tv Paris Major 2023, making the last Counter-Strike Major memorable as well as popular.
