The Chinese League of Legends Pro League (LPL) commenced its Spring 2024 season on January 22, marking the beginning of an intense competition among 17 teams. Over a nine-week regular season, these teams engaged in a series of best-of-three matches to secure their places in the rankings. Moving beyond the regular matches, the top 10 teams now advance to the playoffs, seeking glory and the chance to represent their league on an international stage.

This year, the LPL holds particular significance as it is the second year in a row that the league will send two representatives to the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) 2024. This event, scheduled for May in Chengdu, China, will institute a unique format where the participating teams go through a Play-In Stage before progressing to a Bracket Stage, involving a rigorous double-elimination process. With two spots secured for each major region, the champion and runner-up of the LPL Spring 2024 will have the opportunity to showcase their prowess against the world’s best at MSI 2024.
