The movements in the different professional CS:GO organizations worldwide continue. This time, we go to Ukraine to talk about the former NaVi player Viktor “sdy” Orudzhev, who has been announced as a new player of a European organization.
The former NaVi player was without a team for only three weeks, as the Ukrainian organization Monte Esports announced the player’s signing a few hours ago. With this, the team’s starting lineup comprises three Ukrainian players, one Polish, and one Jordanian.

About sdy
Viktor “sdy” Orudzhev is a 25-year-old Ukrainian player who has a long career as a professional in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
His beginnings were more than five years ago in different European Tier 2 organizations. But, his excellent performance in various tournaments made many teams interested in him. So, in August 2018, he joined his first big esports organization, Team Spirit.
Playing under the Team Spirit banner, sdy managed to win some significant trophies at Level B and C. One of the best results of the Ukrainian player playing in Team Spirit was 3rd-4th place in Intel Extreme Masters XV – World Championship.
At the beginning of 2022, he joined MAD Lions, but this partnership would not last long as, after the departure of Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhaylov from NaVi, the team started looking for a replacement and decided to bring him to the team.
In the end, sdy spent most of 2022 as a substitute player in NaVi, where he competed in some of the year’s most important tournaments. We all know the potential of an organization like NaVi, and with sdy in their ranks, they won the BLAST Premier: Spring Finals 2022. In addition, they also reached the quarterfinals of the IEM Rio Major 2922 and the grand final of the IEM Cologne 2022.
But this story came to an end last December 30, 2022. There is no doubt that NaVi’s star player, Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev, was not happy with the squad, so they decided to dispense with the player to make way for a young talent.
It’s this time of the year!

About Monte
Sdy decides to sign with Monte Esports. A team is full of promising young players who have not played at the highest competitive level at any point in their careers. Some of the names on the team’s roster are promising youngsters such as Volodymyr “Woro2k” Veletniuk and Polish talent Szymon “kRaSnaL” Mrozek.
The team is part of Tier B of the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive competitive scene. They are participating in the Elisa Invitational Winter 2023 and ESL Challenger League: Europe Season 44, which kicked off this week.
Now, with sdy on Monte’s roster, the team will try to use this player’s experience at the highest competitive level to reach new heights. Sdy mentioned on his Twitter account:
“Not the easy way, but i truly bilieve in this project, we will gain it step by step.”

LMBT becomes the new Head Coach of Monte Esports
In addition to sdy, Monte has also announced the signing of Sergey “lmbt” Bezhanov as the new Head Coach. This experienced coach was banned in that wave of bans in 2020 for using the spectating coach bug.
Lmbt fills the vacant position of Aidyn “KrizzeN” Turlybekov, who was coaching the team during the 2022 season.
Lmbt’s announcement came just minutes after Monte announced the former NaVi player as its last player for the 2023 season.
Now, the roster of Monte Esports for the 2023 season looks as follows:
- Volodymyr “Woro2k” Veletniuk
- Sergiy “DemQQ” Demchenko
- Mohammad “BOROS” Malhas
- Szymon “kRaSnaL” Mrozek
- Viktor “sdy” Orudzhev
- Sergey “lmbt” Bezhanov (Coach)
