29-year-old veteran Adil “ScreaM” Benrlitom is leaving the Karmine Corp starting lineup after the end of the 2023 VCT season.

This is somewhat expected news, considering the team’s disappointing results throughout 2023. However, losing such an experienced and veteran player may make a lineup change a bit more complicated for the organization.

Similarly, there is currently some impressive talent on the VALORANT scene globally, especially in EMEA. As a result, KCorp will most likely get an ideal replacement who, while not as experienced and cold-blooded as ScreaM, will certainly fill the role.

ScreaM announces he is leaving KCorp’s lineup

Through a post on his Twitter account, ScreaM announced that he is leaving KCorp’s starting lineup after spending the last 9 months in it.

According to ScreaM’s post, the organization informed him that they would be terminating KCorp’s current VALORANT lineup while also informing him that, right now, he can explore his options to look for a new home. However, let’s remember that, according to the VCT Contract Database, ScreaM’s contract at KCorp runs through 2024.

Similarly, like any veteran and connoisseur of the scene, the 29-year-old said he fully understands and respects the organization’s decision above all. In addition, he also mentions that he was responsible for the team’s disappointing season and thanks all the fans for their support during this time.

With this announcement, it appears that a restructuring of KCorp’s lineup for next season is imminent. According to reports, the team will drop all players except Ryad “Shin” Ensaad, including the team’s coaches.

Disappointing 2023 season for KCorp

There is no doubt that this 2023 season of Karmine Corp was disappointing. Moreover, ScreaM himself mentions that it was the worst season in his professional esports career (including his extensive CS:GO career).

In the VCT EMEA League 2023, KCorp finished at the bottom of the table with a terrible 2-7 record. However, the most serious problems for the team came in week 4 of the regular season, when Alexis “Newzera” Humbert unexpectedly left the team, and his assistant coach, Ahmed “ZE1SH” Sheikh, had to play the rest of the season.

Then, in the LCQ for VALORANT Champions 2023, KCorp woke up, as they got an excellent win against BBL Esports 2-1 in the first match. However, they fell to Giants (0-2) and NaVi 1-2.

Finally, ScreaM said that he left everything in every game he played with the KCorp jersey and that he still feels fully motivated to continue at the highest competitive level and win LAN tournaments.
