BLAST.tv Paris Major starts on May 8 but not all of the 24 teams will play in the first stage of the tournament.
Eight teams qualified for the event having the Legend status, which means they will skip the Challengers Stage and compete directly in the Legends Stage. Among these eight teams, three are considerably stronger than the rest.
Natus Vincere
As the recent IEM Rio 2023 results proved, Na’Vi are not unbeatable. But that doesn’t mean they’re not among the top favorites to win the Major.
There are very few teams that can defeat Aleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev’s crew in a best-of-three. So even in a worst-case scenario in which Na’Vi somehow lose two matches in the Legends Stage, they are still more likely to qualify for the playoffs than to get eliminated.
Three of the teams that managed to defeat Na’Vi in a best-of-three this season are Heroic, FaZe Clan, and G2 Esports. All three of them will compete in the Paris Major, so it will be tough for s1mple to win the trophy. But not impossible.
Stopped in the semifinals. Here is the summary of our #IEM Rio 2023 run.
Thanks, to everyone who cheered for us!

Team Vitality
Team Vitality qualified for the Paris Major with a near-perfect run. In the second European RMR, they defeated Astralis, Ninjas in Pyjamas, and FORZE Esports, but got defeated fair and square by 9INE. The Polish team is on everyone’s radar these days thanks to their RMR result (3 W – 0 L).
Vitality’s results speak for themselves. They are constantly in the top eight and from time to time they win the trophy. Their last victory came at IEM Rio 2023, where they defeated Heroic in the Grand Final (2-0).
The fact that Vitality have a formidable roster and the second-best player in CS:GO in the person of Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut easily puts them in the top three Legends at the Major.

Heroic
Despite not winning anything this season, Heroic are currently ranked number 1 in the world and their desire to win something important is undeniable. When it comes to motivation, leadership, and cohesion, this team is one step ahead of most of the other competitors. But their great weakness seems to be a lack of maturity.
Some of Heroic’s players are still very young and they tend to get a bit too stressed out before the Grand Finals. The thought that they could win the trophy makes them play just a bit worse than they usually do, and that often costs them.
Despite this observation, Heroic are easily among the strongest Legend status teams at BLAST.tv Paris Major and should qualify for the Champions Stage.
