League of Legends developers promises the player community more high-quality fixes for champions in the upcoming patches.

From now on, thanks to the developers’ promises to focus more on champions, League of Legends players can expect higher-quality updates for all champions in the game.

These promises come after the last few patches have been a roller coaster ride.

Quick thoughts on the game

In some quick game thoughts, released on March 6, the developers at Riot Games unveiled the direction of the League updates they will focus on in the future. They clarified that their main focus is to concentrate more on patchwork. The patchwork consists of choosing one or two champions to examine in depth. In this way, they look for the details that need improvement and introduce changes that allow them to improve the champion significantly and that they feel when playing.

On the other hand, it was mentioned that the League developers always approached champion updates in two different ways.

The first way to approach improvements is to increase or decrease their number slightly. This way, they can improve or weaken the champion’s abilities according to their needs.

The second approach was to give up one or two champions for a week. This way was getting the change done more carefully and thus being able to work with the champions to solve some complex problems.

In quick thoughts, it states:

“We’ve always had both types of work in our toolkit, but we’re placing more emphasis on patch work specifically for buffs right now.”

On the other hand, the developers emphasize that despite this, these modifications will not be a significant change that players will notice instantly.

Therefore, League players should expect buffs that don’t exactly increase the buffs of champions by a large margin; but that does improve the feel of a champion when playing.

Updates in patch 13.5

The two champions, Pantheon and Azir, will receive updates in patch 13.5. The patch launches this week, and Riot Games have already revealed the changes.

These modifications are already familiar because they have been added to PBE servers. In addition, almost all of Azir’s skills will undergo significant changes. This will reduce his competitive ability and increase his success rate in solo queues. Updates will also be introduced to Pantheon, especially to his core Q and E stats.

With the updates coming to the game’s meta in patch 13.5, Riot Games aims to rebalance the game. It also wants to be able to offer lower champions compensatory bonuses.
