Allan “Rejin” Petersen is a well-known name in the world of Counter-Strike. He has worked as a coach for various teams, including MOUZ, and has achieved significant success in this role. According to some sources, he is soon going to move to TSM.

Allan “Rejin” Petersen will apparently be taking on the role of head coach for TSM’s Counter-Strike team. This 36-year-old Dane reached an agreement with the North American organization and will be officially introduced shortly according to some reports.

He will fill a position that has been vacant since the departure of Rémy “XTQZZZ” Quoniam, who has returned to Vitality. In the meantime, Lambert “Lambert” Prigent has been working as a temporary coach. Most recently, Rejin served as sports director at Sashi, but left the position following a reorganization. Before that, he led the Endpoint team for over a year.

New tasks and challenges at TSM

Rejin will lead a team that is currently ranked 66th in the world and may make player changes ahead of the Copenhagen Major qualifiers. He returns after a successful appeal against his lifetime ban from Majors, which saw his penalty points from ESIC reduced from eight to five.

TSM
Rejin’s integration into TSM is highly anticipated, as the team has so far failed to live up to the high expectations associated with TSM’s return to the Counter-Strike scene after seven years.

His role will be to strategically guide the players and steer the team to future success.
An experienced coach, Rejin has had an impressive career strengthening teams through tactical understanding and analytical skill. At TSM, he will use these skills to help the team compete at the highest level.
The gaming community has largely reacted positively to the news, with hopes for fresh strategies and a new approach to the already successful TSM CS.

Rejin’s run-in with the ESIC

Rejin was banned by the Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC) and later also by Valve, the developer of Counter-Strike, due to his involvement in a coaching bug scandal.During the investigation into this scandal, it emerged that Rejin had exploited the so-called coaching bug in a total of seven cases. This bug allowed coaches to gain unfair advantages during a match by positioning themselves in parts of the map that are normally inaccessible. Due to the severity of his misconduct, Rejin was originally given eight demerit points, which meant a permanent ban from participating in major tournaments. However, following an appeal process, the number of his demerit points was reduced to five, allowing him to return to Valve competitions from the second Major event of 2024.This reduction was an important step in his career, as it gave him the opportunity to return to the world of professional CS:GO.
