A few hours ago, PUBG developers KRAFTON announced through their official Twitter account that the PUBG Global Series 1 will be played in Malaysia. This tournament will be the first of the PUBG Global Series, which generates many expectations for the community and the participating teams and players.

PUBG Global Series 1 – Details
Through the official PUGB Esports account, KRAFTON has announced the first PUBG Global Series era tournament, PGS 1, which will be played in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from April 27 to May 7, 2023.

As we can see from the announcement, PGS 1 will participate in 24 teams and a prize pool of $500,000. On the other hand, the developers have also announced that this tournament will include the first batch of skins from some of their franchised teams.
Format
The format used in this tournament has not yet been released. However, the official announcement highlights that it will be played based on the v3.0.5 rules, which will be used for the last time before switching to Ranked mode. On the other hand, it was also announced that the tournament would be played with PUBG patch 22.2, and the maps that will be played are:
- Erangel
- Miramar
Finally, it is also highlighted that two new weapons have been incorporated, the MK12 and the ACE 32.

As mentioned, PUBG Global Series 1 will participate in 24 teams, of which 16 come from each regional series. At the same time, the remaining eight are the teams associated with PUBG Global. Recall that the teams that are associated with the PUBG Global program are:

PUBG Global Series 1 becomes one of the three large-scale events to be played in the PUBG competitive scene in 2023. In addition to this event, we will have the PUBG Nations Cup and the long-awaited PUBG Global Championship.
Teams to receive the first batch of skins
KRAFTON also announced that the teams would receive the first skins: NaVi, Petrichor Road, 17 Gaming, and FaZe Clan.
