Kick has taken a big move in the streaming industry and the last big Twitch streamer to make the platform switch is the chess superstar GMHikaru. Moreover, in the coming days, five more Twitch streamers are said to follow. There are rumors that Asmongold, Dr Disrespect and Kai Cenat may also leave Twitch and Youtube respectively for a new path at Kick.
Kick seems to be on its way to becoming a serious competitor to Twitch. The platform condemned Twitch from the start, because Twitch takes 50% of the streamers’ income. Kick doesn’t do that and has thus has gained a mega advantage that’s to their 95% policy.
Twitch has long been criticized for various things, including simply banning streamers without explaining why. The best example of this is Dr. Disrespect, who got a perma ban from Twitch and then switched to Youtube.
Twitch’s bad reputation
Twitch has been criticized time and again and has not gained a good reputation in recent years and many streamers feel neglected and taken advantage of by the platform. There have often been accusations that Twitch is not exactly stable when it comes to the rules and often shows double standards. xQc recently slammed Twitch for double standards on gambling streams, as Neymar Jr. streamed under the gambling ban and Twitch didn’t take any action against him – but has cracked down on other creators disproportionately.
Needless to say, Kick hasn’t kept a low profile about his plans to overtake Twitch.
when these next 6 signings are announced, twitch and all of its puppet fuck faces will be shook

Founded and built by ex-Twitch streamer and gambler Trainwrecks, Kick appears to be planning a massive all-out crackdown on Twitch. Of course, this works best when all the popular streamers switch from Twitch to Kick. And it looks like that’s happening right now.
Will Dr Disrespect and Asmongold join Kick?
There are currently many rumors and speculations as to which streamers might switch to Kick. At the forefront is Dr. Disrespect currently streaming on Youtube. dr Disrespect recently teased a “big announcement” announcing that it would be building “a brand new arena.” “It is big. It’s a big deal. We expand them. I just got the blueprints. I think we will move forward.”
Of course, it is not possible to read from his words exactly what is meant by that, but it would be realistic to switch to Kick, because the Doc was not always satisfied with YouTube either, although he earns just as much there as on Twitch.
Even with Asmongold, fans are not entirely sure if he might switch platforms. Asmongold has also consistently spoken out against Twitch, saying in a recent stream:
“It really is that simple. Why not switch to Kick? You get more money and you still have people watching you. Why stick with Twitch where earnings are split 50/50?”

When a fan asked the streamer that it sounds like he’s moving to the platform, Asmongold said it would be ‘really cool’ if Twitch gave him money to stay, but also hinted that nothing would happen would change if they didn’t.”
Adin Ross wants to get Kai Cenat to Kick after the sneaker fail
Streamer Adin Ross has claimed that a “superstar” left Twitch and switched to Kick after Kick’s mobile app launched. Adin Ross was recently permanently banned from Twitch and has recently moved from the purple to the green platform. Launched 5 days ago, Kick App is now looking to bring in even more well-known creators to make the platform a worthy Twitch competitor.
Adin Ross has made it clear that he wants big streamers such as Kai Cenat, who was recently awarded the Streamer of the Year 2022, to leave purple and join Kick instead. Adin Ross tried to persuade Cenat to make the platform switch via a DM after the streamer received a pair of sneakers from Twitch instead of a contract, however, it is not yet clear how he decided.

GMHikaru switches to Kick
Adin Ross has claimed that another big name has officially moved from Twitch to Kick. The streamer made the announcement in a March 27 tweet, in which it posted an advertisement for Kick’s mobile app.

It is now also known who this superstar is. He is none other than chess streamer GMHikaru! The 1.8 million follower chess streamer is just the first of 6 celebrity additions Kick is about to announce. At the moment it is not known how long GMHikaru will stay with Kick or how much he was paid to switch. Kick has definitely taken the first step towards becoming a serious competitor to Twitch, and we’ll likely find out who else is making the switch to Kick in the coming days.
