Faruk “pita” Pita, one of the coaches involved in the 2020 coach-bug scandal, has decided to end his 10-month “time-out” to return to coaching in the competitive CS:GO scene.

This Bosnian-Swedish coach is among the most experienced in the CS:GO scene. In addition, as a player, he was in big teams like Fnatic (CS 1.6), SK Gaming, and Dignitas, and he has coached top teams like NiP, CPH Flames, and Dignitas.

After ten months of rest that pita took to share with his family and taking advantage of being at the birth of his son, he has decided that it is time to return to the stage.

Pita announces he is ready to return to the CS:GO scene.

After ten months of inactivity due to family reasons, pita has announced that he is ready to return as a coach to the CS:GO scene. The 32-year-old coach used a TwitLonger to detail everything regarding his return.

Pita explains that after Dignitas announced his departure from the CS:GO scene, he decided to take a break to take advantage of his daughter being born on July 4 to be with her for as long as possible.

On the other hand, the coach detailed that he received different offers during the 10 months he was away from the scene. However, none of the ones he liked came to fruition, while others did not completely meet his expectations. He then points out that his most “hectic” months as a father are over, and he is ready to return to action.

Finally, pita stresses that he doesn’t care which team or players he goes to coach. All he wants is to have the privilege of coaching a team with the absolute ambition to win everything and to have players who want to give their all and more in every game.

With this, there is no doubt that pita is open to receiving proposals from any region.

About Pita

As mentioned, pita has been part of different organizations at the highest competitive level in CS:GO. However, in his best years as a coach, he left with Ninjas in Pyjamas, especially that 2014 season, where he led the team to win the ESL Cologne (Major). Then, he decided to make the big leap to the North American CS:GO scene and coached, for seven months, CLG.

Pita found some offers to continue as an active player in different teams and was even part of Dignitas’ starting lineup from March to June 2016. However, things did not work out as he wished, and he returned to his coaching role.

In 2018, he returned to NiP and was as Head Coach of the team for two years, where they participated in as many as three Majors. However, pita was one of the coaches involved in coach-bug and, in September 2020, received a 10-month ban by the ESIC.

After a few days, the news came out that the sentence had been reduced to 5.5 months, as the coach confessed everything and helped investigate this bug.

Finally, pita was the coach of Dignitas and Copenhagen Flames for part of the 2021 season and until the summer of 2022, when Dignitas announced his departure from the CS:GO scene.
