The first-ever CS2 Major, which will take place in Copenhagen from March 17 to 31, 2024, has its Regional Major Ranking qualifications scheduled.

Taking advantage of the growing hype around Counter-Strike 2, PGL has announced the schedule for the first CS2 Major. While it was previously confirmed that the Major would take place in the capital of Denmark on March 2024, PGL has now disclosed the dates for both the Major and the Regional Major Ranking (RMR) events.

The three RMRs, which serve as the Major’s qualifying events, will run one after the other. Europe will host the first RMR events from February 14 to 24, followed by Asia from February 26 to 29, and then the Americas from March 1 to 4. While the RMR’s dates are being made available, it is not yet known if the competition will also take place in the Danish capital or if the competitors would travel to other locations, as they did for the recently concluded BLAST Paris Major.

The Copenhagen Major is scheduled to begin on March 17 with the Challengers Stage, which will last four days. The top teams in the competition will then move on to the Legends Stage, which will run from March 21 to March 24. The Champions Stage, the much-awaited playoffs, will be held at the Royal Arena from March 28 to March 31, with the grand finals on March 31, when the excitement will be at its pinnacle.

Here is the complete schedule of the PGL Copenhagen Major 2024

Regional Major Ranking Dates:

  • Europe RMR – February 14 to 24
  • Asia RMR – February 26 to 29
  • Americas RMR – March 1 to 4

PGL Copenhagen Major Finals:

  • Challengers Stage – March 17-20, 2024

Copenhagen Major 2024: Prize pool and tickets

The total prize fund for the inaugural CS2 Major will be $1.25 million, with the winner receiving the majority of it alongside a coveted trophy. Moreover, the winner of the Copenhagen Major will be recognized as the team that claimed the inaugural Counter-Strike 2 Major, giving the teams a chance to permanently engrave their names in history.

Tickets will go on sale soon and perhaps be given out in waves as the tournament dates get closer. Fans can also witness the momentous event on the PGL esports company’s official Twitch and YouTube channels, as well as at watch parties hosted by other well-known streamers and content creators. The PGL Major Copenhagen, which will kick off Counter-Strike 2’s competitive cycle, is expected to be bigger and better than ever given PGL’s prior performance in hosting a Major.
