Rumors continue to swirl regarding the rebuilding or renewal of NaVi’s CS:GO lineup for the second part of the 2023 season. This time, it seems much closer to being confirmed that rookie Andrij “npl” Kukharsjkyj is close to leaving the team.

Undoubtedly, all teams and their players are trying to arm themselves and prepare in the best possible way for the imminent arrival of the new game, Counter-Strike 2. One of the most popular teams in the world, NaVi, is no exception, and after the disappointing results they have had so far this year, they will likely start making moves.

According to different reports, NaVi is searching for a replacement for the 17-year-old player who has been with the team since the end of 2022.

Reports claim that npl is very close to leaving NaVi

In a report published by Luís Mira, a well-known esports reporter in the CS:GO community, npl would be very close to leaving NaVi’s lineup. In addition, it is also highlighted that the Ukrainian organization would be willing to look for an international player, so we may have surprising news in the coming days.

There is no doubt that NaVi’s results since the departure of its former IGL, Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhaylov, have been disappointing, as the team failed to win a major tournament with Viktor “sdy” Orudzhev and in this 2023 with npl. In addition, NaVi was also disappointed by missing the Champions Stage at the Paris Major, something that had not happened in this organization since the PGL Kraków Major 2017.

On the other hand, it’s worth noting that npl’s stats don’t do much to help the player stay in NaVi’s lineup, either. The 17-year-old has a 0.92 rating, according to HLTV, since joining the team in December 2022. While Ilya “Perfect” Zalutskiy hasn’t been living up to expectations either, it’s understandable that his level of play has dropped after taking on the team’s IGL role.

As mentioned, the report published by Luis Mira also mentions that NaVi would be looking for an international player to complete the squad. As a result, this would make the team’s communication switch completely to English. Let’s remember that, until now, it was in Russian, as all the players were Ukrainian or Russian.

NaVi must hurry up

There are still four weeks left of this players’ break; however, there is no doubt that NaVi must hurry to decide regarding its lineup. The team must play the BLAST Premier Fall Groups next July 13, 2023; immediately after, they must play the IEM Cologne 2023.

With the imminent arrival of Counter-Strike 2 on the competitive scene, NaVi needs to sign a player to help compact this lineup. It could be an international IGL, allowing Perfecto to concentrate on his rifler roles. However, these are all rumors until NaVi or one player confirms or denies them.
