While it is true that the court case between FTC and Microsoft was the center of attention for many months, in the last hours, some documents were revealed that showed a “new” Xbox X Series model. In addition, this new model’s feature would be a fully digitized 2TB hard drive storage. Finally, a new black and white controller was also leaked.

The community was quiet about this issue, as everything seems to indicate that it was already accepted that Microsoft and Activision would join forces sooner rather than later. However, these latest documents have nothing to do with it and have leaked a new console and controller model.

New Xbox X Series model and new controller leaked

A few hours ago, it was “accidentally” revealed some documents concerning the judicial process between the FTC and Microsoft regarding the purchase of Activision. However, despite all the information regarding the case, one feature that has attracted the most attention is that Microsoft plans to launch a new Xbox Series X with a cylindrical shape and fully digital, i.e., without a disc reader.

In addition, according to the leaked images, the model will have a capacity of 2 TB of storage; its codename is Brooklin. Finally, it was also revealed that Microsoft plans to launch this new Xbox model in October 2024.

On the other hand, another of the new features of the Xbox Series X model is that it will have a USB-C port on its front, it will have support for Wi-Fi 6E, in addition to a Bluetooth 5.2 connection, and, most importantly, it will have better efficiency concerning power consumption.

Finally, its launch price would be $499, and, as we mentioned, it would reach all corners of the world in October 2024.

New Xbox controller

In addition to the new console, images and features of the new controller that would arrive were also leaked, with the name Sebille. According to the leak, this controller will be announced by the end of 2023 and will have several interesting features, such as an accelerometer for gyroscopic support.

Moreover, the new controller will have a two-color scheme, Black and White, with a Bluetooth 5.2 connection and, most importantly, an Xbox Wireless 2 connection, which could be upgraded very well.

Furthermore, in the image, we note that Microsoft mentions that it will have “precision haptic feedback” and “dual VCA haptics like speakers.”. Finally, it will have quieter buttons and thumbsticks, a rechargeable and swappable battery, and modular thumbsticks.

For now, these are just the leaks of these documents from the case between Microsoft and the FTC, so we must wait for the official announcement from the company. However, one way or another, there is no doubt that the Xbox gaming community very much appreciates this news.
