Every time Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok enters an official server, we always expect that there will be some record to break since he is the legend of the LCK, and practically all the league records are his. This was ratified by the “Demon King” at the beginning of the LCK playoffs, as he helped his team, T1, advance in the Upper Bracket after an excellent 3-2 victory over KT Rolster.
In this series between T1 and KT Rolsters, we witnessed many individual records for different players. In addition, we could observe one of the best “Telecom Wars” in recent times and Faker, playing Faker breaking a new record in his career.
Faker uses his #75 champion in the history of the LCK
In the first map contested in the aforementioned series between T1 and KT Rolster, the “Demon King” used his only #75 champion in his entire career. In other words, during his ten-year career as a professional in the LCK, where he has been very successful, he has used 75 different champions in official matches. There is no doubt that this is a small sample of this player’s natural ability to adapt to any champion.

The champion selected by Faker was K’Sante, which is very popular in the scene, but, Faker had never selected him in an official game. In this map, T1 managed to get a really solid victory, mainly because of a spectacular bot lane.
However, in the rest of the series, Faker decided to use the champions that have favored him the most throughout his career. On maps two and three, Faker uses Kassadin, while on the fourth and fifth maps, he uses Galio and Gragas. Recall that with Galio, the “Demon King” was a beast in the semifinals of Worlds 2017, while with Gragas, he won Worlds 2013.
Other records in this series
This “Telecom War” was full of emotions, of that there is no doubt, but also of many records. In addition to Faker’s feat with a new champion added to his extensive Champion Tool, Gwak “Bdd” Bo-Seong reached 600 matches in the LCK. The KT Rolsters Mid Lane is now the third player who played the most games in the LCK.
