While it is true that we already know the first team qualified to VALORANT Champions 2023 in this LCQ EMEA, Giants, now everything will be defined in the Lower Bracket, where two teams still have the chance to get that coveted place to the end of season event, KOI, and NaVi.

As for the Ukrainian team, they managed to survive against Karmine Corp in the semifinals of the Lower Bracket to keep their qualification hopes alive. Moreover, it was not an easy match, as they had to work hard to get this victory. However, they must turn the page and try to take revenge against KOI in the Lower Bracket final if they want to get their ticket to the VCT Champions 2023.

Let’s see what happened in the match between NaVi and KCorp in the VCT 2023 LCQ EMEA Lower Bracket semifinals.

NaVi get a big 2-1 win over KCorp

It’s no secret that NaVi was one of the most consistent teams in the VCT EMEA League all season. However, when the tournament ended, their level of play dropped to such an extent that they qualified in extremis for the VCT Masters Tokyo, and their participation in the second international event of VCT 2023 was to be forgotten, as they finished in 11th-12th place.

Now, the team needs to get back to the rhythm and level of play they had during most of the regular season to get the ticket to the VCT Champions 2023.

The series between NaVi and KCorp was played in Lotus, Ascent, and Pearl.

Lotus

It all started at Lotus, KCorp’s map pick, where NaVi deployed all its available arsenal to take an excellent victory that gave them confidence at the start of the series.

The first half had the Swedish Pontus “Zyppan” Eek as the protagonist, who led NaVi to a partial victory by 7-5. Then, at the change of sides, we all thought that KCorp would wake up, as in their map pick, it was somewhat likely to happen. However, the opposite happened, as NaVi’s offense was phenomenal, and they managed to win their remaining rounds to take a crushing 13-6 victory.

Ascent

In the second map, Ascent, NaVi’s map pick, things changed radically, as KCorp started to cook an extraordinary victory to even the series 1-1, thanks to an impeccable performance of Alexandre “xms” Forté.

The map began extremely balanced, and, at one point in the first half, the teams were even at 5-5 on the scoreboard. However, KCorp won the last two rounds to take a 7-5 lead into the turn.

Then, in the second half, the French team’s offense was spectacular. As a result, KCorp pulled out an excellent 13-7 victory to strike back and even the series 1-1.

Pearl

Finally, the series was defined on Pearl, a map that, in general, is very well played by all teams. However, on this occasion, the Ukrainian squad prevailed to take the victory.

In the first half, NaVi perfectly circumvents KCorp’s defense to take a partial victory by 8-4. Then, in the second half, the teams split the rounds throughout, and, of course, this did not suit KCorp, who needed to win several consecutive rounds to get back into the match. In the end, NaVi took the 13-7 victory to advance to the Lower Bracket final, where they will play for a berth in the VCT Champions 2023 against KOI.
