The EMEA Masters Summer 2023 playoffs are in full swing. After two interesting and exciting matches, Movistar Riders and Macko Esports won to qualify for the tournament’s semifinals.

The Spanish squad had a perfect series where they crushed BK ROG Esports, the French runners-up, by 3-0. On the other hand, Macko Esports applied the same dose against GTZ Esports, as they also took a resounding 3-0 victory to ensure their qualification to the semifinals of the EMEA Masters Summer 2023.

As a result, in the semifinals, we will have an exciting duel between Macko Esports and Movistar Riders to define one of the tournament’s finalists. In addition, in the coming hours, we will have the other two semifinalists of the EMEA Masters Summer 2023.

Let’s see what happened at the start of the EMEA Masters Summer 2023 Quarterfinals.

Movistar Riders apply a clean sweep against BK ROG Esports

The Spanish squad arrived as clear favorites to win this series against BK ROG Esports. However, no one expected such a solid and convincing victory, considering the great level of BK ROG Esports in recent months. Likewise, this is also a sign that Movistar Riders wants to return the EMEA Masters champions trophy to the Iberian country.

The series’ development was marked by the constant attacks of Movistar Riders, which relied on David “Supa” Garcia and Alvaro Fernandez “Alvaro” del Amo to win in the first game in 26 minutes and 57 seconds.

Then, in the second match of the series, the boys from BK ROG Esports woke up and put up much more of a fight. However, again, Alvaro with Neeko and with a quadruple kill from Supa, the Riders took the victory in 30 minutes and 49 seconds.

Finally, Movistar Riders went through the steamroller with BK ROG Esports in the third match thanks to Supa, who finished with 25 kills in the series, to take the victory and complete the clean sweep.

Macko Esports continue to demonstrate a mind-blowing level of play

On the other hand, we have the Italian squad Macko Esports, who have demonstrated an impressive level of play throughout the tournament. There is no doubt that this team is the tournament’s revelation, as they managed to advance to the playoffs after an impressive 6-0 record in the Group Stage.

As if that wasn’t enough, the Italian squad continued to give a lesson of good LoL in the quarterfinal match against GTZ Esports, as they, too, managed a 3-0 victory.

The first match of the series was balanced, as the pressure of playing this match in the final stages was noticeable. However, the Italians took the victory after 30 minutes and 56 seconds.

Then, in the second match, Macko Esports took a step forward to start dominating the Summoner’s Rift, and after 26 minutes and 22 seconds, they quickly put the series 2-0 in their favor. Finally, in what was a real thrashing by Macko, they managed to take the win in 22 minutes and 6 seconds to seal the 3-0 win and, more importantly, qualification to the semifinals of EMEA Masters Summer 2023.
