The CS:GO 2023 season schedule continues after the end of the IEM Cologne 2023, and we have two teams that qualified for the $600,000 event, the Thunderpick World Championship 2023. We are talking about MOUZ and BIG, two European teams that have been reborn in this second half of the season and want to make a mark before transitioning to CS2.
On BIG’s side, they defeated Looking4Org by 2-0, while MOUZ did the same by 2-1 against Eternal Fire. As a result, both teams are part of the 16 teams participating in the tournament. It is also worth mentioning that, in the next few hours, we will have the Grand Final match of these qualifiers for the Thunderpick WC 2023 between MOUZ and BIG.
MOUZ and BIG seal their ticket to Thunderpick WC 2023
After excellent victories in the semifinals of the Thunderpick WC 2023 qualifiers, MOUZ and BIG, in addition to being the tournament finalists, clinch their seats in the $500,000 Main Event.
The Thunderpick WC 2023 event brings together the best CS:GO teams in the world, some invited and others through qualifiers, where a whopping $600,000 is distributed. In addition, it is worth noting that this online tournament will be played from October 27 to November 5, 2023.
As we mentioned, the German squad, BIG, sealed their qualification to the Thunderpick WC 2023 after an excellent victory over Eternal Fire by 2-1.

BIG and MOUZ’s European qualification run
There is no doubt that both teams had a relatively straightforward path in these qualifiers. On BIG’s side, in addition to receiving the direct invitation to the Playoffs, they beat Sprout, ALTERNATE aTTaX, and finally Looking4Org. The latter had a great tournament, as they managed to eliminate 9INE and VP but could not beat BIG in the semifinals.
On the other hand, MOUZ was also invited directly to the tournament playoffs, and on their way, they took down rivals like Sampi and 500. Then, in the semifinals, they got a big surprise from Eternal Fire, who crushed them in Vertigo by 5-16. However, Kamil “siuhy” Szkaradek and all of MOUZ woke up to crush EF in Overpass by 16-8 and Mirage by 16-12.
Tournament disappointments
Although MOUZ and BIG did very well in this tournament, there is no doubt that several squads did not perform as desired. We start with Apeks, who lost to ALTERNATE aTTaX and Virtus.pro to Looking4Org.
However, the most disappointing thing we have observed was the incredible drop in the performance of FURIA after the signing of Marcelo “chelo” Cespedes and Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo. Finally, Monte lost to Eternal Fire in the quarterfinals.
In the next few days, we will know the rest of the teams qualified to Thunderpick WC 2023.
