Filipino MLBB veteran Gerald “Dlar” Trinchera is taking his talents to Myanmar as the newest member of the Burmese Ghouls.
The Ghouls announced their hiring of The General in a Facebook post last January 28. He is the first-ever import hired by the Ghouls, whose MLBB team started in 2018.
“As Gerald “Dlar” Trinchera, we invite you to continue watching and supporting Burmese Ghouls to see how we can achieve more success on the International stage,” BG said in a statement.
This comes after Dlar had a rollercoaster season with Indonesian team EVOS Legends. Originally pushed as a promising talent, he was oftentimes benched during Season 9.
He was then moved to EVOS Icon – the developmental roster – in Season 10, then did content for EVOS in Season 11. At the same time, he played for EVOS in MSC 2023 – which made him earn back a spot in the main roster.
However, just five weeks in MPL Indonesia Season 12 – he decided to leave the team and be a free agent.
Before he went to Indonesia, Dlar was known for his 3-year tenure with ONIC Philippines – securing a second place finish during the M3 World Championship in 2022, and two second-place finishes in MPL Philippines Seasons 4, 5, and 8.
Now in his new org – and under the helm of fellow Filipino Coach Dale Vitug – The General is expected to beef up the Ghouls’ chances of winning a championship – as well as his own first major MLBB title.
