The esports organization Nova Esports, based in Hong Kong, recently said goodbye to its European COD Mobile staff. The news was announced through their social media, and the Nova Esports team thanked the players for their effort and significant contribution to the organization. Moreover, they wished them luck in the players’ future projects.

The announcement was made after seeing the team’s results at the COD Mobile World Championship 2022 in Raleigh, United States. Unfortunately, the couple had a dismal performance, being eliminated in the group stage and finishing last after losing two consecutive matches.

About Nova Esports

The Nova Esports team first entered the European Call of Duty Mobile scene on May 22, 2021. This team started its journey in a big way, winning numerous small-scale third-party events in Europe. The team can be said to have had a dream run in 2021, finishing on the podium in almost every event they competed in.

The professional team from China also secured first place in the COD Mobile Masters: Europe 2021, thanks to which they qualified for the World Championship: West Finals.

But not everything was easy for them, and the team struggled in the championship with the best teams from the Western region. As a result, Nova Esports could only manage one victory in five matches, finishing in ninth place in the 2021 World Championship.

The team’s performance in 2022 was still decent at the regional level, but their lack of perfection and dominance in 2021 was clearly noticeable.

Nova Esports finished as the second-best team in Europe in Phase 4: European Finals and qualified for the 2022 World Championship. The team was paired with three other top-tier squads in Group D, where the team lost its opening and elimination matches.

After the list was published, each player’s future remains to be seen. At the same time, the development of Nova Esports in the COD Mobile scene will also be of great interest.

So far, the game’s roadmap for 2023 has not been announced. However, North American teams swept the world circuit in 2022, and this year several experienced squads are aiming for the same.
