The CS2 competitive scene continues in full swing, and this time, we have the actions of a new LAN tournament being played in Belgrade, Serbia, the “PARI, Please.”. In this tournament, we have the participation of top teams like FURIA and Eternal Fire, as well as MIBR, BetBoom Team, Movistar Riders, and more.

After the first day of matches, MIBR and 9Pandas started Group A with excellent victories against Movistar Riders and BetBoom Team, which sent them directly to the winner’s match to determine the first playoff qualifier.

On the other hand, the Russian squad will face the Spaniards to determine who is the first eliminated player of the tournament and, of course, who is still alive to fight for second place in the Group A playoffs.

Let’s see what happened in the first matches of PARI, Please Group A.

MIBR beat Movistar Riders 2-1

The first match of this tournament was between MIBR and Movistar Riders, where a balanced and very intense duel was expected, and so it was. The Brazilian squad started very well by taking the victory on the first map, but the Spaniards did not keep their arms crossed and evened the series 1-1 on the second map. Finally, MIBR prevailed on Vertigo to secure a 2-1 victory.

It all started on Ancient, the map pick of Movistar Riders, where both teams started with a lot of determination and confidence to take the victory. Thanks to this, they finished the first half with a score of 6-6. Then, at the change of sides, we had a back-and-forth game, where the guys from MIBR, in their T Side, were much more decisive to take the victory by 13-10.

On the second map, Nuke, things were even throughout, even though MIBR took the partial victory in the first half by 8-4. Surprisingly, at the change of sides and in their T Side, Movistar Riders overcame the Brazilian defense to win by 13-11 and even the series 1-1.

Finally, in Vertigo, we enjoyed another extremely balanced match. As in Ancient, the first half ended with a score of 6-6. However, on this occasion, MIBR’s CT Side was impeccable, and they managed to take the victory with a score of 13-8.

9Pandas surprise and annihilate BetBoom Team 2-0

The second match of the day left us with a surprising victory by 9Pandas against BetBoom Team by 2-0. It is a surprise victory because the BetBoom Team has an outstanding roster of Russian players. However, 9Pandas, with an all-Russian roster, prevailed to take a solid victory.

It all started in Anubis, 9Pandas’ map pick, where we enjoyed a spectacular match from start to finish that had to be defined in the last 2 rounds. In the first half, the BetBoom Team pulled out all the stops to take a narrow 7-5 victory on their CT Side. However, this only made the 9Pandas boys wake up because, with a resounding 8-4 at the change of sides, they managed to take the victory by 13-11.

The second map, Mirage, followed the same tone as Anubis, but with the difference that 9Pandas started with great form and took an excellent partial victory by 9-3 in the first half. BetBoom tried to wake up at the change of sides and started to get dangerously close on the scoreboard, but their efforts were not enough, and they lost by 10-13.
