M0nesy is currently the most talented CS:GO player according to NiKo

One of the CS:GO legends who remains active and playing at the highest competitive level, Nikola “NiKo” Kovač, said in a recent interview that, for him, the most talented player he has ever played is the wunderkind, Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov.

It’s no secret to anyone that m0NESY is one of the superstars of the moment in the competitive CS:GO scene, and what’s more, it’s not the first time NiKo has given such statements. However, what is surprising about this news is that NiKo mentions that the 18-year-old Russian is the most talented player he has played with in his career.

Furthermore, it is worth noting that NiKo has played with legends such as Marcelo “coldzera” David, Olof “olofmeister” Kajbjer Gustafsson, Ladislav “GuardiaN” Kovács and Håvard “rain” Nygaard. As a result, we would be just looking at the one who could break all records and, above all, dominate the scene at will as Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyljev and Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut have done in recent years.

NiKo: M0NESY is an impressive talent

First of all, remember that m0NESY made his name when he played for NaVi’s academy team between seasons 2022/21, and since leaping to the top competitive level with G2 Esports, he has lived up to all expectations. The 18-year-old Russian played in Tier 2 for only two seasons, so he had little competitive experience.

However, m0NESY has demonstrated with facts that he is a player of the highest level and that, in a couple of years, he could easily be considered the best player in the world.

In an interview NiKo gave Dot Esports, NiKo said that m0NESY is the most individually talented player he has played with. As a result, the Bosnian believes that the Russian has immense potential to be among the top 5 players in the world for many years to come. In addition, NiKo said that m0NESY, despite his age, the 18-year-old Russian has shown consistency, dedication, and, above all, seriousness concerning training and mentality.

It is undeniable that, currently, m0NESY is one of the best CS:GO players, and, in terms of his generation, he is the most talented. However, it never ceases to surprise the way NiKo talked about his teammate. Remember that, between 2016/17, the Brazilian coldzera was the best player in the world. On the other hand, Olof achieved this feat in 2015.

M0NESY is the spark plug of G2

As we mentioned, after spending two seasons in NaVi’s academy team, G2 Esports decided to sign the only 17-year-old Russian, giving this very young player a big vote of confidence. However, this move could not have gone better, as there is no doubt that m0NESY is the spark plug of G2 Esports, as since he joined the team, they have managed to win 3 major tournaments:

• IEM Katowice 2023
• IEM Cologne 2023

Also, remember that these are the first 3 trophies that G2 Esports wins since winning DreamHack Masters Malmö 2017.

Finally, NiKo referenced that m0NESY has nothing to improve or fix, as he considers him a complete player. However, he also said that his teammate could only win thanks to experience, as let’s remember that he is only 18 years old.
