With the launch of the new season 2023 in League of Legends, players can complete different celebration missions. This is with the aim that fans can get some rewards that can be very useful to prepare for the ranking.
Players have until next January 24, 2023, to complete these missions, as it will be the day when patch 13.2 is released. In total, nine missions can be achieved, in which you will have to complete some specific tasks before receiving the rewards.
Mystery Champion
First, we should remember that this is not the first time event missions have been made in League of Legends. Riot Games uses to push them to give fans a bit of entertainment in the game.
Just like in the previous editions of event missions, this set of objectives that you will have to complete requires you to solve some peculiar puzzles to progress. It should be noted that the only clues you’ll have to solve these puzzles are available only in the mission descriptions.
One of the ways to complete the nine quests is by playing a game with the “Mystery Champion.” The other way is that players must earn 450 points by playing and winning the games.
On the other hand, there seems to be no hint as to who these “Mystery Champions” are unless players detail very carefully on the ribbon that appears in the mission description.
As has been the case in the first two days since these missions began, they will be unlocked daily over nine days. This means that only seven are left, with two missions already unlocked. With this, we will have a different quest each day that requires playing with or as a specific champion to complete it.
However, for many players unfamiliar with this type of event, these puzzles tend to be very complicated.
That’s why we bring you the answers to the Mystery Champion riddles in the January 11 and 12, 2023 missions.
January 11 Mission
The first of the missions activated in the game is called “I stand at the brink of infinity.” For those who don’t know, this quote refers to a video released in the season called “Brink of Infinity.”
Older and savvy players will realize that Xerath, the Magus Ascendant, said this quote. So, the mission is that you must play a game with Xerath. Simple, isn’t it? By doing so, you will get the reward of a fragment of the champion Yasuo and, in addition, an icon of the start of season 2023.
January 12 Mission
The second “Mistery Champion” mission of this 2023 qualifying season mentions the following quote from a champion: “Yet I do not fear the darkness.” Many may think this is about a champion who fights the darkness like Lux, but they are not right.
The champion who says this quote is Yasuo. Some players reported completing this mission with different combinations of champions, but they all had Yasuo in common.
You only have to play one game with Yasuo in this mission to get the rewards.
Note that the first reward was a Yasuo shard, possibly indicating a trend for the rest of the quests.
January 13 Mission
The third mission of the Mistery Champions comes with the quote, “What lies beyond the shrouded path?”. The answer, in this case, is Zed because it is one of his quotes. This means you will only have to play one game with or as Zed to move on to the fourth mission.
The trend of the champion shard reward from the previous mission being the answer for the next mission continues. That is, if this continues, Sejuani is likely to be the next Mistery Champion.
January 14 Mission
The fourth mission of the Mistery Champion comes with the quote: “Trusting nothing but my strength.” As mentioned, this is a quote from Sejuani. So you must play with or as Sejuani to complete the mission and continue to the fifth step.
As we can see, Patheon is the reward for this mission, so he will most likely be the next mysterious champion.
