Liquid, Gladiators, and Shopify are in the playoffs of DreamLeague S19

The sixth day of the second stage of DreamLeague S19 brought another round of victories for Team Liquid, Gamin Gladiators, and Shopify Rebellion, who can no longer lose their playoffs spots.

The only question now is who will finish fourth: Tundra Esports or one of the three teams that are currently just one victory behind them?

Beastcoast, Evil Geniuses, and OG won just two of their first six matches. But they could still qualify for the playoffs if they win their last match and Tundra lose it. They wouldn’t qualify right away, but they would force a tiebreaker.

On the sixth day of the second stage of DreamLeague S19, the four matches were closer than usual. Two of them required three games to conclude, while the other two, despite finishing after just two games, were quite intense and had games that lasted more than 40 minutes.

In Dota 2, anything above this limit suggests that the battle was not easy to win for the victorious side.

Shopify Rebellion encountered beastcoast and beat them not because they had a better draft, but because they had a better understanding of what they needed to do in team fights. Game 1 was practically decided in one minute, near the 42-minute mark. Game 2 was one-sided and Rebellion dominated from the start.

In the match between Tundra Esports and Evil Geniuses, EG insisted on playing Silencer plus Doom, which is a weak combination in many cases. They lost both times with it and gave Tundra a relatively easy mission. All they need to do now to qualify for the playoffs is to beat beastcoast.

Liquid had fun in game 1 against TSM and won in just 25 minutes. Their ability to play against Techies is exceptional and TSM’s unorthodox draft was heavily punished. At the 10-minute mark, the audience felt as though the game was already over.

The second game was much harder for Liquid, who had to make great use of their Mirana and Outworld Devourer to be victorious. At one point, TSM’s Naga draft had a 9000 gold advantage. But Liquid still won because they’re one of the best teams in the world.

Gaimin Gladiators used their Leshrac again and crushed OG with him. Game 2 was won by their opponents, who made great use of their Ursa and Dark Seer. But in game three, GG went back to their Mirana and won quite easily despite playing against Phantom Assassin.
