After a second day of action and emotions in week 1 of the LEC, we have a clearer picture of the teams coming very strong to this Spring Split.

Astralis, SK Gaming, and Team Vitality have started with a mission to dethrone a G2 Esports that has looked very powerful. On the other hand, MAD Lions and Team Heretics lost again on this second day, while Fnatic is still not giving a good start and continues to perform poorly.

MAD Lions unrecognizable against Team BDS

The start of the Spring Split for MAD Lions has been challenging, and, unfortunately, it got even worse when they suffered a crushing defeat against Team BDS on the second day. The winter runners-up were stunned by the poor performance of their jungler, Javier “Elyoya” Prades, who was far from his usual form and could not help his team to victory.

On the other hand, Team BDS had a fantastic performance, taking advantage of the MAD Lions’ bad start. The Swiss team bounced back from their difficult first day to claim their first LEC Spring Split win on day two.

Team Vitality crushes Excel Esports

Team Vitality moved quickly and decisively against EXCEL Esports, allowing them to catch up on their schedule. The team maintained their impressive performance from the start of the match, and Elias “Upset” Lipp delivered a spectacular performance. However, Vitality did not back down and eventually crushed EXCEL 1-0 to move to a 2-0 record and leave their opponents in fear.

Upset has been unbeatable in the LEC and has yet to be killed inside Summoner’s Rift. The German dazzled everyone with an exemplary performance with Xayah and helped Vitality become, once again, the favorite to lift the champions trophy.

Fnatic still in a bad way

The third match of the day arrived, and with it, the second exhibition of one of the teams currently in the spotlight. Fnatic tried to redeem themselves after their disastrous start to the Spring LEC but failed to do so. The orange squad could not defeat a staunch SK Gaming, proving that there is still much work to be done to improve the team.

Fnatic’s struggles continue in the opening week of the LEC, as SK Gaming crushes them, further lengthening the team’s suffering. Unfortunately, the black and orange are still without their first win, and their player, Oscar “Oscarinin” Muñoz, still can’t find a comfortable game.

Astralis surprises the Winter Split champion

The Spring LEC quickly delivered a thrilling denouement, with Adam “LEADER” Ilyasov’s stellar performance with Irelia helping Astralis defeat G2 Esports. However, this result was surprising, as Astralis has once again beaten the reigning champions in the regular phase.

With this win, Astralis is in an excellent position to end the week positively. Although G2 had its moments during the match, the team fights favored a well-coordinated Astralis, who combined Irelia, Sejuani, and Renekton to overpower Steven “Hans Sama” Liv.

KOI takes the win over their Spanish counterparts Team Heretics

KOI and Team Heretics put an exciting end to Sunday with another Spanish derby. This time it was the marquees that took the glory. Ibai Llanos’ team, KOI, took revenge for their previous match against Team Heretics in the Winter Split by coming out on top in the Spanish derby for their first win of the Spring Split.

The two teams had a great rivalry, which became even more evident after their initial losses on the opening day. Intense battles ensued, with KOI eventually prevailing thanks to Mathias “Szygenda” Jensen’s destructive play with Jayce. His relentless aggression was the deciding factor in the match, giving KOI the edge, they needed to secure the victory.
