The offseason of the League of Legends competitive scene has not yet started, as teams are still alive at Worlds 2023. However, many rumored moves in the last few hours include important players in the different regions of the world.

In this opportunity, we go to NA, where Joseph Joon Joon “jojopyun” Pyun would be close to closing his signing with Cloud9 for the 2024 LCS season. Jojopyun comes from an exceptional season with Evil Geniuses, where he won the MVP award in the Summer Split.

Reports claim that jojopyun will join Cloud9 for the 2024 season

According to a report by Brieuc “LEC Wooloo” Seeger via the Sheep Esports web portal, jojopyun would have a verbal agreement to join Cloud9 for the 2024 LCS.

Thanks to his excellent season, jojopyun piqued the interest of many LEC and LCS teams, including such powerhouses as Team Vitality, FlyQuest, Golden Guardians, and Team Heretics. However, the 19-year-old seems to have decided to join one of the top organizations in NA, Cloud9.

Let’s remember that Cloud9 won the LCS Spring Split 2023 and was a finalist of the Summer Split, so we are talking about one of the teams currently in the best shape. However, after failing to make it past the Swiss Stage of Worlds 2023, where they finished with a 1-3 record, everything indicates that the team will do a squad rebuild for next season.

About jojopyun

There is no doubt that jojopyun is one of the best mid-laners currently in the LCS, and he proved it in all the games he played with EG this season. As a result, Cloud9 could add a real talisman for next season.

However, this move would only mean that Jang “EMENES” Min-soo, the team’s current mid-laner, would have to leave the C9 squad. On the other hand, if the move is completed, Cloud9 would have a solid mid-lane with jojopyun and Robert “Blaber” Huang.

Finally, a few hours ago, Cloud9’s Support, Jesper “Zven” Svenningsen, announced that he is leaving the team’s roster and becoming a free agent. As a result, the organization is looking for new Support to complete the bot lane for next season. Undoubtedly, we could be looking at a superstar roster for 2024.
