After yesterday’s reports that GODSENT would sign the Bad New Eagles lineup, team manager James Bank denied this information.

Banks denies the information via Twitter

British esports presenter, interviewer, and one of the most influential people in the CS:GO scene and BNE team manager James Bank has confirmed via Twitter that his team did not sign with GODSENT as rumored.

In the Tweet, Banks says:

“I do not know where these rumors came from, but Bad News Eagles are not joining GODSENT.”

“They had a good offer for us, but it was based on representing them at the last Major with an option to extend it, which we did not agree to do. So then there were no further talks.”

Banks’ statements come after Portuguese media outlet Fraglider reported that GODSENT would return to the competitive CS:GO scene with the Bad New Eagles lineup. Moreover, this team did not leave traces in the 2022 season, so they want to return with all of them for this new season.

GODSENT has been absent from the competitive CS:GO scene since June 2022, when it sold players Epitácio “TACO” de Melo, Bruno “latto” Rebelatto, and Eduardo “dumau” Wolkmer, coach Olavo “cky” Napoleão, as well as technical staff and management, to 00 Nation. In addition, the organization sold João “felps” Vasconcellos to Fluxo in August and Bruno “b4rtiN” Câmara to 00 Nation VALORANT team.

In November 2022, CS 1.6 legend and former Ninjas in Pyjamas executive Emil “HeatoN” Christensen has become the organization’s major shareholder and CEO and revealed his intention to return to Valve’s FPS.

With this in mind, the theory that makes the most sense would be the one where the GODSENT lineup would be a Swedish roster.

Future of Bad New Eagles

Now that host James Bank has denied the news that the BNE quintet consisting of Sener “SENER1” Mahmuti, Genc “gxx-” Kolgeci, Flatron “juanflatroo” Halimi, Dionis “sinnopsyy” Budeci and Rigon “rigoN” Gashi is not joining GODSENT, it is unclear what will happen to the team in 2023.

Formed in February 2022 after leaving Team BLINK, Bad New Eagles is a free agent line-up with little support in terms of sponsors and having a home organization. Therefore, it is likely that the Kosovar team will continue to play on their own in 2023 or manage to join an esports organization in time before the BLAST Paris Major cycle.
