Invisible teams wreak havoc in FIFA 23

FIFA 23 community members have urged PC players to disable cross-play due to a wave of cheaters plaguing Ultimate Team, causing chaos and anger among players. The cheats are entire teams simply becoming invisible.

EA introduced a new anti-cheat system in FIFA 23 to combat cheaters on PC. The system is designed to prevent external files and software from being injected into the game. This should not allow third-party applications to modify the game. But as is so often the case, scammers have found a way to bypass the new feature and still sneak into the game and wreak havoc.

Problems with cheaters in FIFA 23

In October, several FIFA 23 players railed against the anti-cheat system for allowing cheaters to kick players out of the game just like that. A cheating service has surfaced online claiming players can change their stats, teleport and freeze the ball, and also give away instant wins.

At the moment, a lot of people in the community are angry and think that’s enough, because cheating has never reached this level. FIFA on PC has had problems with cheaters for a long time, but it seems the problem has grown even more.

Teams become invisible

A FIFA 23 player demonstrated in a video how a cheater uses a team that is invisible.

The entire cheater’s team is completely invisible, making it impossible for the opposing player to attack or defend. The ultimate scam you can’t do anything about. Using this glitch, the cheater managed to steal the ball and score a goal.

No wonder a lot of people got upset about it and criticism rained down from all sides. Many have openly said that the anti-cheat is terribly bad and only works when playing PC vs. PC. If it’s PC vs Console and the PC user is hacking, you can get away with it.

Players continue to wonder why a football game needs to be hacked at all, but this question will probably never really be answered.

What you can do

Community members have urged console players to disable cross-play to avoid experiencing these issues on PC. And it seems that the tip worked quite well, as some players have come back to say that turning off cross-play improved their gaming experience quite a bit. So it might be worth checking for you too if you encounter invisible teams.
