The Grand Final of BLAST Premier Fall Finals will be played today, November 26. And as everyone expected, the teams that will take part in it are FaZe Clan and Team Vitality.

The race had a lot of strong participants, but these two have been the best, not just in this competition but throughout the entire season. Vitality won the Paris Major and was essentially the strongest team in CS:GO when the game ended its more than 10-year history, while FaZe have been the strongest team in CS2 since its release.

Winning three tournaments in a row is not an easy task but FaZe accomplished this and proved to have a formidable roster that needs no changes. Twistzz was recently offered a position on Team Falcons and probably a very high salary, but he chose to stay with FaZe. NiKo from G2 did the same when he was given the opportunity to join the newly acquired Saudi club.

Both FaZe and Vitality had to defeat excellent teams to reach the Grand Final and most of the matches were not easy, as the scores clearly indicate.

FaZe Clan’s journey

FaZe started the tournament in group A, where they defeated Ninjas in Pyjamas in the first match (13-6 on Vertigo and 13-9 on Nuke). Then, in the winners match, they beat Cloud9 2-1. The match was very dramatic, with the first map ending 11-13 in favor of C9 and the third requiring two overtime sessions to conclude. The final score was 19-15.

Thanks to this victory, FaZe advanced to the semifinals, where they encountered Complexity and won 2-1. The score was close on the first map (Anubis), which ended 13-10 in favor of FaZe. On the next two maps, it was a different story. Complexity destroyed FaZe on Nuke (5-13) while FaZe was much stronger on Ancient (13-7).

Vitality’s journey

For Vitality, group B proved to be a bit less challenging than we expected. Heroic was defeated very quickly (13-6 on Nuke and 13-9 on Inferno). Next came Complexity. The NA team won map two after overtime (13-16) but on the other two maps, Vitality reigned supreme: 13-2 on Anubis and 13-7 on Inferno.

In the semifinals, Vitality struggled against Cloud9 and barely won the match: 16-13 on Mirage, 9-13 on Nuke, and 13-11 on Inferno. It couldn’t have been more dramatic than this.
